The sergeant decided to cut the body up into pieces, using a meat knife.
An Indian Air Force sergeant killed a corporal and hacked his body up into pieces. The attack happened over an alleged affair between the corporal and the sergeant’s wife.
27-year-old Vipin Shukla went missing on 8th February 2017. His wife filed a missing person’s report with the police. They soon discovered the Indian Air Force corporal’s body in the staff quarters of Bhisiana air force station, with the help of a sniffer dog.
Police arrested Indian Air Force sergeant Sulesh Kumar and his wife Anuradha Patel, who supposedly helped him in the attack.
Police have yet to capture a third party involved in the attack; Sulesh’s brother-in-law.
The Indian Air Force sergeant, his wife, and brother-in-law will go to court over murder and destruction of evidence.
Police recovered 16 polyethene bags, all of which contained body parts of the corporal.
During interrogations, Sulesh confessed to the murder. But, the Indian Air Force sergeant claimed that a sexual affair began between Vipin and his wife, Anuradha. Soon after, Anuradha discovered she was pregnant.
The Superintendent of Police (SP) adds: “Anuradha asked Vipin to marry her but he refused. He had also been spreading details of their relationship among other employees.
“Thus, Anuradha, with her husband and brother hatched a conspiracy to murder Vipin for revenge.
“On the evening of February 8, Sulesh called Vipin to help him pack as he was to change his quarters, then attacked him with an axe, killing him. He then packed Vipin’s body in a box and took it to his new quarters.”
On 19th February 2017, the sergeant decided to cut the body up into pieces, using a meat knife. He deposited the body into bags. The bags were hidden throughout various parts of their quarters, such as the refrigerator and cupboards.
However, it remains uncertain how Sulesh planned to completely dispose of the body.
Police will now be attempting to track down the Indian Air Force sergeant’s brother-in-law. It’s reported they are also trying to piece together Anuradha’s role in the crime.
