“Please pray for me, Kiran and my son.”
Imran Ashraf announced his divorce from Kiran Ashfaq and admitted that he has been struggling after the separation.
The couple had been married for four years.
The actor appeared on The Talk Talk Show with Hassan Choudary in which he briefly talked about his life after his divorce.
Talking about it, Imran Ashraf said:
“I think, in the video, I said that we are going through a destruction phase.
“Well, there is no negativity in our lives, we are taking care of our son Roham together.
“My life’s biggest objective is my son.
“What would my son think about me in the future when he sees any controversial thing about me?
“I could never say such a thing which will be causing damage, or which goes against me or my ethics.
“We are going through difficult times as parents, it is a tough time.
“Please pray for me, Kiran and my son.”
He went on to reveal the parenting techniques he uses for his son.
Imran explained: “Firstly, I love my son a lot but I will not do any bad thing or any injustice to anyone in his blind love.
“Secondly, I make sure to respond to each question asked by my son even if it is a very small, trivial or foolish question.
“For instance, if he asks, ‘will go into the red aeroplane’, I say to him, ‘yes’ and then make sure to act accordingly.
“I further clarify my answers too.
“Also, I think that the warmth you get from hugging your kid is amazing and people should express their love to their kids.”
Imran Ashraf and his ex-wife Kiran announced their separation in 2022.
The pair took to social media in September 2022 and said they would be separating but would co-parent their son.
In a joint statement, the couple said:
“With a heavy heart, we announce that we have mutually and respectfully decided to part ways.”
“The primary concern for both of us will remain our son, Roham for whom we will continue to be the best possible parents.
“We request the fans, well-wishers and the media to support us during this difficult time and give us the privacy we need to move on.
“Love and respect for all, Kiran and Imran.”
