"that’s when I found out my implants had ruptured."
Huda Kattan opened up about her health scare after sharing pictures from hospital due to ruptured breast implants.
In a candid post, the beauty mogul explained she had postponed follow-up appointments for years despite knowing the importance of regular monitoring.
She reflected on how everyday life often delays essential health care.
Huda wrote: “I got my implants done over 12 years ago… and I kept telling myself ‘I’ll check them later’.
“Life gets busy, and we push things aside, especially when they don’t feel urgent.”
Huda explained that the situation escalated only after she began experiencing pain, which eventually led her to seek medical advice.
What followed was a serious diagnosis requiring surgery.
She continued: “I started feeling pain, so I went in and that’s when I found out my implants had ruptured.”
Medical complications had already developed by the time the issue was identified, including inflammation, fluid build-up and early signs of infection.
Despite the severity of the condition, Huda Kattan said she felt relieved the rupture was caught before further complications emerged.
“Honestly, I feel so lucky I caught it when I did because it could’ve been so much worse.”
She used the experience to issue a broader warning to others with breast implants, highlighting the need for routine checks and awareness of long-term maintenance requirements.
Huda urged: “If you have implants, please remember they are not meant to last forever… most of the time, they need to be redone around the 10-year mark.
“Don’t wait for pain. Don’t put it off. Your health is not something to ‘check on later’.
“Listen to your body. Stay on top of it. Take care of YOU.”
She thanked her plastic surgeon, Dr Georges J Samaha, for his swift response and support.
Huda Kattan’s post also included footage of Dr Samaha showing the removed implants, which looked like they had been cut in half.
The surgeon said: “This was all ruptured.”
He added while handling the material removed during surgery: “All this was in your body.”
In 2019, Huda spoke about going under the knife shortly after giving birth.
She told Cosmopolitan: “I did my nose and my boobs together when we launched the brand, because I had breastfed and felt ashamed to show them to my husband.
“I was scared when I went to do it, but I’m really happy [with the results].
“I know a lot of celebrities deny they’ve had work but I don’t understand why you would lie.”
