"Now get ready to face the consequences."
Hrithik Roshan and his upcoming film Vikram Vedha were subjected to brutal trolling after the actor tweeted his support for Laal Singh Chaddha.
Aamir Khan’s Forrest Gump remake has faced a lot of criticism and many called for the film to be boycotted.
While the film has received positive reviews, many have followed through with the boycott.
On its opening day, cinema occupancy ranged at 12-20%, depending on the location.
One of those who have seen the film is Hrithik Roshan. He tweeted:
“Just watched Laal Singh Chaddha. I felt the HEART of this movie.
“Pluses and minuses aside, this movie is just magnificent. Don’t miss this gem guys! Go! Go now. Watch it. It’s beautiful. Just beautiful.”

But his tweet did not sit well with some social media users, who turned their attention to him and demanded a boycott of his upcoming film Vikram Vedha.
One person said: “You should not have done this. Instead of focusing on your film, you are trying to support others.
“Now get ready to face the consequences. Vikram Vedha will be the next target.”
Another wrote: “Don’t worry duggu uncle. When the entire druggiewood is facing the heat of boycott, how can you and Saif escape this thappad?
“Be ready to face boycott coming soon #BoycottVikramVedha #BoycottbollywoodCompletely #BoycottLalSinghChaddha”.

One comment read: “Have to #BoycottVikramVedha if you like LSC Hrithik Roshan then you have made yourself a party to the degradation of our Majestic Army in LSC.”
A person said: “*One is ‘Mistake’. *Second is ‘Mistake Done By CHANCE’. *Third is ‘Mistake Done INTENTIONALLY’.
“So Mr Hrithik Roshan did that knowing he will face backlash and boycott.”
Vikram Vedha is a Hindi remake of a Tamil film of the same name.
The original film featured Vijay Sethupathi and R Madhavan in the lead roles.
Other than Hrithik, the remake will also star Saif Ali Khan and Radhika Apte.
Directed by Pushkar-Gayathri, the shooting of the movie was wrapped up earlier in 2022.
Hrithik shared some pictures from behind the scenes of the movie and penned down a long heartfelt note.
A portion of his note read: “As we called it a wrap on set, my mind is flooded with all the happy memories, testing times, action, thrill and hard work we all have put into Vikram Vedha.
“Doing a little excited-nervous dance in my head today as we inch closer to our release date. Nuff said. See you at the cinemas.”
