Hrithik Roshan celebrated his 48th birthday on January 10, 2022.
To treat his fans, the actor shared the first look from his upcoming film Vikram Vedha on his Instagram handle.
Hrithik Roshan will be seen in Vikram Vedha, which is set to release in cinemas on September 30, 2022, alongside Saif Ali Khan and Radhika Apte.
Announcing the news on their official account, T-Series shared a tweet and wrote:
“Here’s wishing Hrithik Roshan a very happy birthday!
“Delighted to present the first look of Vedha in #VikramVedha. Hitting the cinemas worldwide on 30th September 2022.”
Termed as a neo-noir thriller by its makers, Vikram Vedha is inspired by the Indian folktale of Vikram Aur Betaal.
The film tells the story of a tough police officer who sets out to track down and kill an equally tough gangster played by Hrithik.
The original Tamil blockbuster starred Ranganathan Madhavan and Vijay Sethupathi.
Hrithik Roshan shared his first look from the film with his 40.5 million Instagram followers.
Sharing his rugged look, Hrithik wrote: “VEDHA.”
In the picture, the Kites actor can be seen donning a dark blue kurta and sporting a thick beard and scruffy hair along with bloodstains on his face and chest.
He also wears a pair of aviator sunglasses.
Netizens flocked to the comments section of Hrithik’s post and showered the actor with praise.
One user commented: “You have set the internet on fire.”
Another wrote: “New year, new swag”.
Alongside his fans, Ranganathan Madhavan was also in awe of Hrithik’s first look.
Ranganathan reposted Hrithik’s photo and wrote:
“Now that’s a Vedha I do want to see. Wow, bro, this is epic. Damn.”
The film is produced by Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series and Reliance Entertainment, in association with Friday Filmworks and S Sashikanth’s YNOT Studios.
Vikram Vedha is expected to release globally on September 30, 2022.
Besides Vikram Vedha, Hrithik Roshan also has films such as Fighter alongside Deepika Padukone, a sequel of his last release War, and the next instalment in his superhero franchise, Krrish 4 in the pipeline.
Meanwhile, Hrithik’s ex-wife Sussanne Khan wished him on his birthday by posting a compilation video of him with their sons.

Hrithik and Sussanne got married in 2000, shortly after the release of his debut film Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai.
They announced their separation in 2013 and got divorced the following year.
Announcing their divorce, the couple released a joint statement which read:
“We are two individuals who respect and care for each other and have made our own individual choices.
“We are parents of two wonderful kids and our responsibility remains to protect and take care of them. Nothing can change that.”
