“Please don’t make our lives miserable with negative remarks.”

Hina Rizvi has publicly confirmed her separation from husband and fellow actor Ammar Ahmed Khan.

The announcement, made through an emotional post on social media, comes just over a year after their wedding in April 2024.

The actress wrote in an Instagram story: “With a heavy heart, I announce that my husband Ammar Ahmed Khan and I have separated.

“The dynamics of a marriage are only truly known to the two individuals in it.”

She also addressed growing negativity online, adding:

“Please don’t make our lives miserable with negative remarks.”

In recent days, followers had begun speculating about trouble in the marriage due to her cryptic social media stories and quotes.

Although she has confirmed they are no longer together, Hina clarified that the couple has not filed for divorce just yet.

She emphasised that both she and Ammar need space to evaluate the relationship and figure out what lies ahead.

In her message, Hina acknowledged that being a public figure means personal news is hard to keep private for long.

She wrote that “she is public property”, and the announcement was necessary to prevent false narratives from spreading online.

However, the internet’s reaction has been divided, with many users criticising her for making the issue public.

One user wrote: “You should not have announced this. You announced it first and now you want privacy. How delusional.”

Another harsh comment said: “You ruined your privacy yourself.”

One user claimed: “You are not such a big star. No one would have found out if you didn’t announce it.”

Another remarked: “You should have waited for the divorce.

“If space is all you’re taking, then what was the need to announce it?”

Despite the backlash, Hina stood her ground and responded strongly to what she called “narrow-minded” and “miserable” commentary.

She pointed out that people seem more invested in attacking others than in showing empathy, especially during difficult life transitions.

As the couple navigates this challenging chapter, Hina has asked the public for patience, respect, and some much-needed understanding.

Hina, also known as Sharmeen Hina Rizvi, has received acclaim for her roles in TV dramas.

Her portrayal of Aghu Jan in Fairy Tale resonated strongly with audiences and expanded her fan base across Pakistan.

Currently, Hina Rizvi is working on her new television project Masafat, which is slated to air soon on Hum TV.
