“I am not afraid though. I know how to tackle such problems"
Social media influencer and TikTok star Fiza Hussain, popularly known by her stage name Hareem Shah, has revealed that she is not afraid of anything and prefers to live “like a lion than a jackal.”
Hareem caught the media’s attention after she posted a video of herself in the conference room of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
This video caused a stir on social media with many people questioning how she gained access to such private premises.
Speaking to The Express Tribune, Hareem Shah opened up about her “good fortune” which is the reason behind her success. She said:
“It is my good fortune that I can access places not many people are allowed in.
“So far, I’ve not faced any difficulty in visiting government offices and places of power because Allah has granted me this good fortune.”
Harem continued to mention that her actions were a form rejected the nobility. She said:
“These places are not just for the elites. All citizens should have the right to access them.
“Unfortunately, our system prevents common people from entering the dwellings of our rulers.”
Hareem went on to reveal details about her past. She explained:
“I was born in a village to a family that is quite conservative. I studied there till class six but that was all the opportunity I would have had there.
“I had dreams of being a doctor, so in order to continue my education, my father took me to Mansehra first and later on, I went to Lahore, Peshawar and Islamabad to continue my studies.
“The only other option was live like a caged bird.”
“I recently finished a Masters degree in comparative religion and I’m currently pursuing an M Phil in Islamabad.
“I may not have been able to become a medical doctor but I could yet go for a PhD.”
Hareem Shah was also involved in a controversy concerning recording an indecent phone conversation with a cabinet minister.
Harem was then asked about her connections with politicians. Having claimed to have met them all, she said:
“From Sheikh Rasheed and Fayyazul Hassan Chohan to Mian Nawaz Sharif and the leaders of the Pakistan People’s Party, I have interacted with everyone.
“Now, there is no thrill for me in that. Of all the politicians I have met, I only like Imran Khan and Shah Mehmood Qureshi. They are both decent, unlike others.”
Ever since the infamous video, Hareem Shah revealed that she has been receiving death threats. She said:
“I am not afraid though. I know how to tackle such problems and I believe it’s much better to live like a lion than a jackal.
“I firmly believe that Allah will protect me and keep me safe.”
She further added:
“I am lucky that I have everything I need to fulfil my desires. I have fame so I don’t care what people think.
“All my achievements are the result of my struggle and it inspires me to work for the betterment of others, particularly women.”
