"But the Telugu version was booked first."
A massive fight broke out during a screening of the movie Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge in a Hyderabad theatre.
The conflict occurred because management sold tickets for both Hindi and Telugu versions for the exact same screen.
Fans of the Ranveer Singh starrer were seen arguing heatedly as the theatre management tried to control the crowd.
This chaotic incident took place at the PVR located in the Next Galleria Mall in the Punjagutta area.
An Instagram user who booked her tickets through BookMyShow shared videos of the entire ordeal on social media.
During the on-screen promo for Cocktail 2, the screening was paused as the audience began to shout.
One woman was heard screaming, “But the Telugu version was booked first,” as the tense situation quickly escalated.
Police officers and the multiplex staff were seen attempting to calm down the angry viewers.
The audience demanded a separate screen for their preferred language, or they would sit on the stairs instead.
Eventually, the theatre decided to play the Hindi version despite also selling many tickets for the Telugu dubbed version.
Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge is written and directed by Aditya Dhar, who also produced this massive spy thriller project.
It serves as a direct sequel to the 2025 blockbuster hit Dhurandhar, which was a huge commercial success.
While the first movie earned over 1300 crore rupees, the sequel has already crossed 800 crore rupees.
The Hindi version of this film was released on March 19, 2026.
However, the South Indian dubbed versions faced some significant delays due to the late delivery of the movie content.
They were officially released on March 21, 2026, across various regions, which likely confused the multiplex.

Social media users reacted with humour to the viral videos showing the intense arguments between the different moviegoers.
One person joked: “The movie is already four hours long, one more hour of added fun.”
Another user suggested:
“Ask them to play the first half in Telugu and the second half in Hindi, simple.”
A third person mentioned that the lady should have booked tickets for Pawan Kalyan’s film Ustaad Bhagat Singh instead.
Others remarked that she was having fun despite the stressful and loud shouting match.
Meanwhile, fans of Ranveer Singh are still flocking to the theatres to see his performance as the brave Indian spy.
