Feroze Khan was in the UK to be honoured with the prestigious ‘Star of Pakistan’ at the House of Lords.

The award recognises his outstanding contributions to the film and television industry, particularly his impactful performances in Pakistani cinema.

The ceremony was attended by several distinguished figures, including Baroness Pola Uddin, MP Rupa Haq, and Lord Kuldip Sahota.

Mansoor Shafique presented the award to Feroze. His wife, Dr. Zainab, was also present at the event.

The award is a testament to Feroze’s skill and dedication as an actor.

Both Baroness Uddin and Rupa Haq, who are of Bangladeshi origin, took a moment to commend the actor.

They noted that his dramas, particularly Khuda aur Mohabbat, have enjoyed immense popularity within the Bangladeshi community.

It was popular, especially among women and young people.

Baroness Uddin also expressed her belief that it would be wonderful for Feroze to visit Bangladesh to meet his fans.

Feroze expressed his gratitude, acknowledging the significance of being honoured for his work in the arts, culture, and diversity.

He said: “To be recognised for work on something as important as arts, culture and diversity, is very special for me.”

He further praised the hard work of everyone involved in the Pakistani cinema industry.

The actor emphasised how much progress it has made in recent years.

Feroze stressed that cinema has the unique power to spread messages of love, peace, and mutual harmony.

In a lighter moment during a media interaction at a local UK awards event, Feroze shared a fun anecdote about his wife, Dr Zainab.

He revealed that she was initially his therapist and jokingly referred to her as his “heart doctor”.

However, he humorously added that now she is also the “doctor of my bills”.

The actor expressed deep appreciation for Dr Zainab, describing her as a beautiful and supportive partner.

He said: “Zainab is a beautiful girl, Mashallah, and I am very happy that Allah has blessed me with such a wonderful companion.

“She stands by me through both good and bad times.”

His wife also praised him, stating that she was very proud of her husband.

Following her comment, Feroze Khan asked for permission to hug his wife in parliament.
