"Feroze Khan has tried to mislead people"

Feroze Khan has once again landed in controversy after a heated exchange with journalist Ambreen Fatima at a press conference in Lahore.

The incident, which went viral on social media, unfolded when the actor arrived over two and a half hours late.

The event was aimed at promoting his upcoming boxing match against YouTuber Rahim Pardesi.

Journalists, who had been strictly instructed to arrive at 3:00 pm, were left waiting as the event faced a significant delay.

By the time Khan finally made his appearance, most mainstream media representatives had already left.

Ambreen Fatima, a Lahore-based journalist and YouTuber, openly criticised him for his unprofessional behaviour.

She highlighted that celebrities gain fame not only through talent but also through media coverage and fan support.

Fatima addressed the actor directly, stating that media professionals had been punctual while he had shown blatant disregard for their time.

She emphasised that such treatment of journalists was unacceptable.

However, Khan dismissed the remarks and asked:

“Has the media promoted me? The media has been against me for the past three years.”

The situation escalated when Khan attempted to justify his delay by claiming that he had no hot water at his hotel.

The journalist rejected this claim, asserting that keeping people waiting for hours over such a trivial issue was highly unprofessional.

Taking to her Instagram, Ambreen Fatima shared the video, saying:

“I probably wouldn’t have posted this video, but Feroze Khan has tried to mislead people by posting a short clip in his Instagram story.”

The exchange quickly sparked a debate online, with many social media users calling out Khan for his dismissive and arrogant attitude.

Criticism poured in from all directions, with users describing Feroze Khan’s tone as rude and ungrateful.

Some even called for an apology to the journalist for his perceived lack of respect.

Amid the backlash, Khan’s fanbase defended him, noting that he had apologised soon after appearing on stage.

One fan said:

“Madam, he already apologised many times for coming late, so why are you guys making such a big issue of that?”

Another wrote: “Feroze has always been punctual. But after all, he is also a human. He said sorry when he came to the event.”

His sister, actress Humaima Malick, also came to his defence:

“Media doesn’t make us stars; we become stars because of our fans.”

However, her statement further fuelled the controversy.

Many pointed out that without media platforms, actors would struggle to reach their audience in the first place.
