"We used to laugh at it and refuse those offers.”
Farhan Saeed has recently revealed that he was approached by Bollywood to play a musician in a film.
The singer admitted that the offers came when he was a member of the popular band Jal alongside Atif Aslam and Gohar Mumtaz.
Speaking to Something Haute, Farhan stated:
“When we used to perform as Jal in India I used to get a lot of acting offers.
“You know, in India whoever rises to prominence invites acting offers.
“We used to laugh at it and refuse those offers.”
He then went on to reveal that he was set to be cast in a film with Mithun Chakraborty’s son.
Farhan admitted he was thankful to have declined the offer beforehand.
Speaking of the offer which would have seen the launch of Urvashi Rautela, Farhan said:
“Urvashi Rautela and I were supposed to debut with the movie.
“Both of us backed out from the project after having a telephone conversation.
“We were like we don’t think we should take on this project.”
Farhan revealed he had a chance to star alongside Kubra Khan in the film Karachi Se Lahore 3 but had to decline due to his concert commitments, which had been agreed to beforehand.
In 2019, it was announced that Farhan Saeed would make his cinematic debut in Tich Button, which also starred his wife Urwa Hocane.
Although the news was made public in 2019, it was not until 2022 that the film was introduced to the big screen.
Farhan began his musical career as the lead singer for Jal and went on to make his acting debut in the drama serial De Ijazat Jo Tu.
He performed his best in the highly acclaimed drama serial Udaari.
He went on to receive the Hum Award for Best Supporting Actor for his role as Arsh.
Farhan has starred in popular serials such as Suno Chanda 1 and 2, Mere Humsafar, Prem Gali, Badshah Begum and most recently, Jhok Sarkar.
He has worked with many talented celebrities such as Iqra Aziz, Hania Aamir, Urwa Hocane, Sohai Ali Abro and Saba Hameed.
Farhan married Urwa Hocane in a lavish ceremony in 2016 and the event became one of the most followed celebrity weddings in the Pakistani showbiz industry.
Although there were separation rumours over the years, the couple announced they would become parents in October 2023.
