Happy news for the daughter of Bollywood legends Hema Malini and Dharmendra, as she’s expecting her first child! Esha Deol’s pregnancy became confirmed by both Hema Malini and her biographer.
The news first appeared in a rather unusual way, with Hema Malini’s biographer revealing the news. He had also mentioned that Esha would expect her baby in October 2017.
While some may have felt cynical of the comments, Esha’s mother has spoken about the matter.
On 25th April 2017, Hema Malini confirmed Esha Deol’s pregnancy on social media. She posted on Twitter:

With the news now confirmed by both the Bollywood legend and her biographer, it’s created a huge internet buzz. Esha Deol’s child will be her first with husband Bharat Takhtani.
Biography writer Ram Kamal Mukherjee, who currently works on a book about Esha’s mother, first revealed the pregnancy on 24th April 2017.
Speaking to the Indian Express, Ram Kamal Mukherjee revealed: “Ya, actually I am writing a book so I visit their house often, and all I can say is Hemaji and the whole family is thrilled with Esha’s pregnancy.
“She is expecting the baby anytime in October, and she is at Hemaji’s house and Hemaji and Dharamji are obviously very happy! Bharat is also very excited and is taking most of the days off from work to spend time with Esha.”
Ram Kamal Mukherjee also explained how Hema Malini eagerly awaits the birth of another grandchild. The grandchild will be her second after the birth of a little son, named Darien, to her daughter Ahana in June 2015.
The writer also revealed more plans regarding Hemaji Malini’s biography and the family’s excitement surrounding Esha Deol’s pregnancy.
“My book and the baby are coming at the same time. I have planned to release this book on October 16, on Hemaji’s birthday,” says Mukherjee.
“So October is going to be such a happy time for the family and happiness everywhere.
“Ahana’s son Darien is also there and Esha is such a loving aunt! She loves kids so much. An excited Hemaji is already planning how to make her [Esha] room more child-friendly. The baby should arrive towards the year-end.”
The birth of her first child will act as an exciting event for Esha. Since taking a break from Bollywood in 2011, she starred in 2015’s Roadies as a judge. She has also taken part in glamour photo shoots.
Within the past week, Esha Deol’s pregnancy marks the second announcement of its kind from Bollywood. Soha Ali Khan has also revealed she’s expecting a child on 21st April 2017. It appears Bollywood is experiencing a baby boom!
