Martin later catches the eye of Priya Nandra-Hart.
In upcoming episodes of EastEnders, Priya Nandra-Hart (Sophie Khan Levy) will become attracted to Martin Fowler (James Bye).
Recent months have seen Martin absent from the show but he will return to a horrifying shock on March 18, 2024.
The market stall-holder will return home to see his ex-wife Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) kissing Jack Branning (Scott Maslen).
Regular viewers of the BBC soap will know that Jack and Stacey have had an affair, but have since attempted to stop their trysts.
When Martin discovers their closeness, he confides in Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth) who offers little help but to advise him to keep the secret.
Martin later catches the eye of Priya Nandra-Hart.
Priya is also dealing with her own issues as a furious Honey Mitchell (Emma Barton) confronts her daughter Avani Nandra-Hart (Aaliyah James) for supplying her son Will Mitchell (Freddie Phillips) with vape.
While Avani’s father Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara) attempts to apologise, Priya makes the situation much worse.
After Ravi criticises Priya’s parenting skills in front of their daughter, Priya heads to the nightclub to drown her sorrows.
It is there that she will flirt with Martin, with the pair sharing a moment.
Meanwhile, as the show moves forward, Avani will continue to test Priya’s patience.
The audience has recently seen a softer side to Priya.
In episodes available to stream on BBC iPlayer, Priya helped rescue Suki Panesar (Balvinder Sopal) from the violent clutches of Nish Panesar (Navin Chowdhry).
Priya also aided in kicking Nish out of the house. When Nish reminded her of his favours towards her, she replied:
“My gratitude doesn’t extend to wife-beaters.”
Sophie Khan Levy joined EastEnders as Priya in 2023. The actress spoke about her excitement at her casting.
She said: “I’m super excited to be joining the show, and I can’t wait to see what trouble Priya gets herself into!
“I watched EastEnders when I was growing up.
“So to see so many familiar faces and to walk onto the set is a dream come true.”
EastEnders‘ Executive Producer Chris Clenshaw echoed this excitement and added:
“We’re excited to introduce Priya and Avani, two women guaranteed to cause big drama in Albert Square.
“We’re delighted to welcome Sophie and Aaliyah to the EastEnders family.”
Upon her arrival, Priya Nandra-Hart quickly created a stir in Walford and even found passion with Peter Beale (Thomas Law).
