Renowned Pakistani YouTuber Saad Ur Rehman, better known as Ducky Bhai, has been receiving death threats due to false news.
A video was shared on various social media platforms with a misleading caption falsely claiming Ducky Bhai’s political association.
It claimed he was joining the MQM party prior to the elections. The deceptive post swiftly went viral, gaining momentum on X, Facebook and Instagram.
Major pages played a pivotal role in amplifying the false narrative, thrusting Ducky Bhai into undeserved public scrutiny.
Responding promptly to the crisis, Ducky Bhai took to social media and released a video to deny any political aspirations.
He insisted that the news was fake and expressed the alarming reality that he and his entire family have been facing,
He emphasised the anonymous death threats since the commencement of the misleading narrative.
In a poignant moment, Ducky Bhai expressed his frustration at the prevalent trend of spreading misinformation. He claimed people stoop low for the sake of likes and views.
He called on social media users to exercise caution, emphasising the imperative to verify information before sharing it.
He stated that the spread of fake news can have tangible repercussions on individuals’ lives.
Ducky Bhai, known for his dedication to content creation, reiterated in the video that he has no interest in politics.
Ducky affirmed his commitment to maintaining his identity as a YouTuber. He declared his intent to continue in this vein for the entirety of his professional life.
He stated: “I have been a YouTuber for over a decade. And I can confirm that I will stick to YouTube for the next 10-15 years.”
