“It looks like he’s just being himself on screen"
Nadia Afgan has revealed that she has been receiving death threats from fans of Feroze Khan.
The actress came under fire after publicly criticising her fellow actor during her appearance on the television review show Kya Drama Hai.
Her comments sparked intense backlash from Feroze’s fanbase, some of whom allegedly issued death threats following the episode.
Nadia shared that while she hasn’t worked directly with Feroze, multiple actors have privately described him as a difficult colleague.
During the show, she revealed: “I’ve heard from actresses that he tries to intimidate his co-stars and is hard to work with.”
She also criticised his acting style, stating that he often appears more focused on maintaining his own image than on portraying characters authentically.
The actress added: “It looks like he’s just being himself on screen, not the role.”
Nadia expressed frustration over his tendency to repeatedly play the “hero” rather than taking on more layered, challenging roles.
Her candid remarks quickly divided audiences.
While some viewers praised her honesty and agreed with her opinions, others strongly defended Feroze Khan.
Some social media users questioned the fairness of her comments, especially since she hasn’t collaborated with him personally.
One user said: “You should only critique someone’s acting, not their personality.”
Another wrote: “If you’ve never worked with him, don’t make it personal.”
Nadia later addressed the backlash, disclosing that she had received alarming threats from anonymous accounts.
She believes that many of them are linked to Feroze’s fanbase.
The actress disclosed: “They told me, ‘We will kill you’ and ‘You don’t know how to act’. I may not be perfect, but I do know how to act.”
She stressed the seriousness of online harassment, particularly when threats come from faceless accounts.
Nadia pointed out the toxicity in certain fan communities, saying:
“At least show your face if you’re going to threaten someone.”
Despite the hostility, Nadia Afgan found support from within the industry.
She noted: “Many writers and actors appreciated my reviews.”
Fellow actress Atiqa Odho also commented playfully, saying she was glad Nadia was “finally getting the heat” instead of others.
Feroze Khan has yet to respond publicly to the controversy.
Meanwhile, the online debate continues, reflecting broader issues of celebrity culture, fan toxicity, and the boundaries of criticism in Pakistan’s entertainment world.
