"It was supposed to happen this Ramadan."

Fans of the hit television series Suno Chanda 3 have finally received an update regarding the highly anticipated third instalment.

Actor Nadia Afgan recently confirmed on a talk show that the sequel was originally intended for Ramadan 2026.

She revealed during the interview that the script was already written, and contractual discussions had even moved forward significantly.

Speaking with host Tabish Hashmi, the actress explained that the production team faced an unexpected delay due to personal reasons.

Nadia Afgan recently said that the show is coming while discussing the project on a popular television talk show program.

“It was coming. In fact, it was supposed to happen this Ramadan, you would have seen it by now.”

The delay was primarily caused by the pregnancy of lead actress Iqra Aziz, which the team handled with warmth.

Afgan noted that the development was kept in the family and prevented the project from proceeding as first planned.

The proposed storyline apparently involved filming scenes in London with key cast members.

However, these positive updates contrast sharply with the statements made by Farhan Saeed back in December 2025.

The leading actor had previously informed fans that the project was not happening because of various scheduling and timing conflicts.

Saeed revealed information about the project during a television appearance, where he spoke about the difficulties of the current timing.

“The timing is not working out. It is not like I did not try. I tried a lot, but now I feel it will not happen.”

He expressed concern that the original vision for the show would become much harder to maintain as more time passes.

The actor pointed out the importance of maintaining the original feel of the series when discussing the recent production delays.

Farhan Saeed pointed out: “The continuity and all, even small changes affect it.”

Saeed shared that active discussions were taking place with the writer and production house only a few short months ago.

He stated that several people involved in the project are currently facing some genuine problems which are stopping the production.

“It was still possible three, four, or five months ago. At that time, I was in touch with the writer, I was in touch with the production house, and many other people were also involved.

“Some have genuine problems. It is just not happening.”

Despite these obstacles, the original Suno Chanda became a massive phenomenon when it first aired in 2018.

The show is celebrated for its light-hearted family dynamics and the wonderful on-screen chemistry between Arsal and Jiya.

Its successful sequel further cemented its place as one of the most beloved romantic comedies in the history of Pakistan.
