After his Coachella performance, Diljit Dosanjh struck up a friendship with renowned DJ Diplo.
Diljit made history by becoming the first Punjabi artist to perform at the famous music festival, with his electrifying set taking the internet by storm.
One viral video showed Diplo dancing to Diljit’s tracks with his friends.
The video was noticed by Diljit and he responded to Diplo’s show of appreciation, writing:
“Thank you.”
Diljit added a smiley face and sunflower emoji.
The pair have now struck up a friendship and Diljit treated the DJ to some popular Indian snacks.
A video showed the two artists drinking chai and feeding each other ladoo and kaju katli.
Diplo seemed to have enjoyed the Indian sweet as he nodded his head and raised the snack to the camera in appreciation.
Diljit captioned the video: “Ley Bai Diplo Hun Apna Bai Ae.”
The DJ commented in Punjabi, writing:
“Mithe laddoo, Mithe beats.”
Diljit replied: “Diplo, Oh Balle Jatta.”

Fans could not stop gushing over the newly-formed friendship.
Rapper Raja Kumari wrote: “This is all we ever wanted and needed.”
One fan said: “Two GOATs.”
Another joked: “Diplo is our brother. But Diljit, why does it feel that you didn’t want to share ladoo.”
The meetup has prompted some fans to wonder if they are collaborating on a new song.
One said: “Please tell me they’re going to collaborate together that would be awesome.”
Believing that a Diljit Dosanjh and Diplo hit is on the way, a fan commented:

Given that Diljit met Diplo at his recording studio, it is possible that they may be creating a Punjabi electronic dance track.
The speculation was fuelled by a video of Diplo sitting at his desk working on new beats. Meanwhile, Diljit was outside singing and seemingly looking at lyrics on his phone.
Diplo previously spoke about his association with India, revealing that a one-way ticket to the country when he was 20 years old helped shape him into the man he is today.
