“Okay, so this is pretty cool I think!"
Deepika Padukone has partnered with Meta, becoming the new voice for Meta AI across India, the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, and New Zealand.
The Bollywood star announced the collaboration through a social media video, where she was seen recording her voice in a studio.
She said: “Hi, I am Deepika Padukone. I am the new voice of Meta AI. So tap the ring and my voice will run out.”

“I’m now part of Meta AI and you can chat with my voice in English across India, United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Australia and New Zealand.

The partnership makes Deepika the first Indian voice for Meta AI.
The technology already features voices of international celebrities such as Judi Dench, John Cena, Awkwafina, Keegan-Michael Key, and Kristen Bell.
In the comments section, fans were excited, with one writing:
“I’d listen to your voice instead of the default anytime anyway.”

Meta AI’s official handle commented: “We’re going to have so much fun.
“To get started, send me a message by tapping the ring wherever you see it!”
Deepika Padukone’s collaboration comes as Meta continues to expand its AI ecosystem globally, introducing more personalised and culturally diverse user experiences.
Deepika’s familiar voice is expected to bridge the gap between technology and human connection, especially in India’s rapidly growing digital market.
It comes shortly after she was appointed as the first-ever Mental Health Ambassador by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
The announcement, made on World Mental Health Day, recognised her long-standing work in mental health advocacy through The Live Love Laugh Foundation.
Expressing gratitude, Deepika wrote:
“On World Mental Health Day, I am deeply honoured to be appointed as the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare’s first-ever Mental Health Ambassador.”
She added that, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India has taken “meaningful steps to place mental health at the heart of public health”.
On the film front, Deepika Padukone was last seen in Nag Ashwin’s sci-fi epic Kalki 2898 AD.
She will next star opposite Shah Rukh Khan in Siddharth Anand’s King, following their blockbuster hit Pathaan.
Deepika has also signed a film with Atlee and Allu Arjun, tentatively titled AA22X26, marking another major pan-India collaboration.
