In early January 2021, a video of Pakistani singer Bilal Saeed fighting his brother and attacking a woman in the presence of authorities went viral on Twitter.
The video clearly shows the two brothers in the middle of a verbal argument which escalates when Bilal attacks his brother.

The incident occurred on Sunday, January 10, 2021, in a residential area near Sundar Police Station, in Lahore.
According to Bilal, the woman in the video was a friend of his brother while his brother claimed her to be his wife.
Authorities also declared that Bilal Saeed moved an application against his brother for the registration of an FIR.
Ultimately, no case was registered, as the matter was settled between the two brothers.
The video became viral in a matter of minutes, and Saeed became a top Twitter trend in Pakistan, with thousands of Pakistani netizens reacting to his video.
At the time, Saeed’s manager refused to disclose any information or comment about the fight to the media.
However, on Thursday, February 4, 2021, Bilal Saeed has decided to address the video in which he is seen fighting his brother and the woman.
From his tweets, it seems like Saeed is trying to make amends for what happened in the video.
He wrote:
“Every human has the right to live with dignity and security, regardless of gender. I am a believer of peace, however, I also believe in establishing boundaries when that peace is repeatedly compromised by another, regardless of gender.”
He also added:
”When the safety and dignity of a person is violated and jeopardized over and over again, he, unfortunately, is left with no option but to react.”

Saeed has also updated his Instagram feed with a video showing his house full of damaged items, in which he is heard saying:
“This is what they did to me while I was away from my house!”

Many tweets against his actions popped up on Twitter, with some netizens being in his favour.
However, the majority of Pakistanis are against Saeed and condemn his violent actions, especially against the woman.
Those supporting him are doing so by using the hashtag #standwithbilal, instead.
