Indian Man kills Grandmother when told to Stop Attacking Wife

A police case has been registered against an Indian man after he murdered his own grandmother.

The incident happened during the evening of March 10, 2020, in the Lailunga area of Chhattisgarh.

It was revealed that the man killed his grandmother in a fit of rage after she told him to stop attacking his wife.

Police have identified the accused as 30-year-old Jaipal.

On the night of the attack, Jaipal had returned home drunk. When his wife confronted him, an argument ensued. Jaipal then started beating his wife.

At that point, his grandmother intervened. She managed to stop the attack, however, Jaipal turned on her and struck her repeatedly with a sharp object.

Jaipal then ran out of the house and fled the area.

Family members called the police and officers arrived at the scene to speak to the family members.

Jaipal’s wife said she was at home cooking a meal to celebrate Holi when her husband arrived home intoxicated. She confronted him for being drunk and coming home late.

This angered Jaipal and he began shouting at her. He then started hitting her.

The grandmother saw what was going on and told the Indian man to stop with the assault. She then started hitting him with a stick in a bid to stop him.

Jaipal soon stopped with the violent assault. At that point, the grandmother advised the wife to stay at the neighbour’s house.

After she left the house, Jaipal expressed his anger at his grandmother’s advice. He picked up a sharp object and struck her from behind several times.

He inflicted numerous blows to the neck and head, instantly killing her. Jaipal later fled the scene.

Family members and locals eventually found out about the incident and informed the police.

Officers arrived at the house and sent the body for a post-mortem. One officer said that Jaipal’s extreme behaviour stemmed from the fact that he was drunk.

He indicated that Jaipal would not have committed murder if he had not been drinking beforehand.

A murder investigation has been launched and officers are currently working to locate the whereabouts of Jaipal.

Following the murder, Jaipal’s wife and father have said that the household and locals are disturbed by what transpired.

They went on to say that they were shocked at Jaipal arriving home drunk on such a special occasion.
