During a guest appearance on Wasi Shah’s show, Babar Ali revealed how his wife supported him after his accident.
At the pinnacle of his career, tragedy struck when he fell 110 feet while shooting, resulting in a severe foot injury.
In the wake of this incident, the media and some individuals who were against him began labelling him as a “lame horse”, casting doubt on his future prospects.
Undeterred by the criticism and setbacks, Babar Ali found solace and support from renowned filmmakers Khalil-ur-Rehman Qamar and Syed Noor.
They offered him the opportunity to explore a different side of his talent by playing villainous roles.
This unexpected shift in his career path became a turning point, allowing him to relaunch his career in a remarkable manner.
At the time, Babar Ali was not yet married and many believed that his professional journey had come to an end.
However, amidst the uncertainty, Babar Ali found unwavering support in his wife, who stood by his side through every challenge.
Despite the prevailing scepticism about his future, their love and commitment grew stronger, leading them to eventually tie the knot.
Babar Ali expressed profound gratitude for his wife, acknowledging her as his pillar of strength and unwavering support system.
He said: “My wife, my in-laws, they took a stand for me. I am a lucky person to have married the love of my life.”
Babar was asked about how he met his wife, considering she did not belong to his family.
He shared a heartwarming anecdote, recounting a serendipitous encounter that led to their eventual union.
Babar Ali explained that on a particular day, he had accompanied his sister to a clinic and was waiting outside.
It was during this moment that he noticed a young woman, accompanied by her father, emerging from the clinic.
Babar revealed: “That day, I did something that I wouldn’t have normally. I called my sister and I followed her car to her house.
“I sent a marriage proposal but her family refused that they don’t want a film hero as her husband.
“I struggled for two years to make them agree and eventually, we got married.”
