Azfar Rehman calls out TVOne Pakistan for not Paying his Dues

Azfar Rehman, former host of TVOne Pakistan’s morning show, has called out the channel for not “paying his dues”.

He hosted Morning Star with Azfar Rehman in 2023.

Recently, he spoke up about a problem he has been facing with the show’s team.

He has claimed that they have not paid him for the last seven to eight months. He even continued to host the show until December 2023.

This situation has left Azfar feeling frustrated and upset, as he expected to be compensated for his time and effort.

Azfar Rehman has demanded transparency and fairness from TV One regarding overdue payments.

In the Facebook post, Azfar wrote: “TVOne pay my dues… TVOne Pakistan waiting for money since July/Aug 2023.”

This post has since gained attention from his fans as well as critics.

Many claimed that TVOne has treated him like this because he is not a well-known presenter.

A user wrote: “He already does not get enough work. At least pay him his dues or he will go broke.”

Another stated: “The TV channel does not give importance to Azfar because frankly, Azfar is not a big name.

“If it were any other big star, they would not have to complain like Azfar.”

One commented: “Channels like them are exploiting stars like Azfar. Such a pathetic thing to do. If you can’t pay them, don’t hire them. Simple.”

Others claimed that TVOne was itself a small-scale broadcaster, and this is what happens to people who work for such channels.

Azfar Rehman has earned a lot of praise for being very outspoken about social issues in the past.

People genuinely look up to him. This is because he uses his platform to give a voice to those who might not be heard otherwise.

Meanwhile, Ayesha Omar revealed she is taking a break from showbiz after collarbone surgery.

The surgery was to treat an injury she suffered in a car accident.

In December 2015, she and Azfar Rehman had been travelling from Karachi to Hyderabad when a vehicle collided with them causing their car to swerve off the road and fall into a ditch.

While Ayesha suffered two fractures to her right collarbone and shoulder, Azfar Rehman sustained a head injury.
