While this marked Ahaan’s debut, it was a breakthrough for Aneet, which firmly put her in the league of fresh, talented faces.
Millions of fans around the world loved the original romance of the film, which provided a unique outlook on the trials and tribulations of love.
Now, it has been reported that the romance of Saiyaara could be brewing between Aneet Padda and Ahaan Panday in real life.
The pair are said to have begun a relationship behind the scenes, but have chosen to keep it private.
One source said: “Theirs is one of the most beautiful love stories in the entertainment industry.
“It happened organically while they were shooting together for Saiyaara.
“She was innocent and vulnerable. He looked after her during the shooting.
“They drew close as they worked. Eventually, friendship turned into a deep love.
“Aneet and Ahaan are in a committed relationship.”
On a previous occasion, Aneet Padda revealed how Ahaan had taken her to a church when Saiyaara was undergoing pre-production.
The actress said: “When I was auditioning for Saiyaara, Ahaan had taken me to Mount Mary Church, and we’d lit a candle and sat in the car.
“And I asked him, ‘What did you wish for?’
“He looked at me and asked, ‘What did you wish for?’
“Then, a week later, I got the call [that I’d received the role].
“And he said, ‘Of course – I’d wished that you’d get the role!'”
In Saiyaara, Ahaan played Krish Kapoor and Aneet portrayed Vaani Batra.
The duo recently graced the cover of The Hollywood Reporter India.
The film is loosely based on the Korean movie, An Affair To Remember (2004).
The couple’s relationship takes a devastating turn when Vaani is diagnosed with early on-set dementia.
Saiyaara became a blockbuster when it was released and emerged as one of the highest-grossing Indian films of 2025.
The film was directed by Mohit Suri.
As the filmmaker wanted the audience to see the pair together for the first time onscreen, Ahaan and Aneet did not promote the movie.
Saiyaara premiered on Netflix on September 12, 2025.
As the film continues to amass heaps of love and praise, the idea of its celebrated lead couple entering a romance in real life will undoubtedly excite and enchant fans.
