"I’m truly so grateful and blessed"
Ananya Panday is celebrating two years since she made her Bollywood debut.
She made her debut with Student of the Year 2 alongside Tiger Shroff and Tara Sutaria. The film released on May 10, 2019.
Since her introduction to Bollywood, there has been no looking back for Ananya.
Looking back on the time she has spent in the industry, Ananya said:
“It’s been such a wonderful journey these past two years and I’m truly so grateful and blessed to be living my dream.
“I wouldn’t be here without the love, encouragement, wisdom and advice from all the people I am surrounded by.
“I’m forever thankful to all the technicians, directors, DOPs and actors I’ve worked with because I’ve learned so much from each and every one of them which will be lessons I’ll carry with me forever.”
Ananya followed in her father Chunky Pandey’s footsteps by entering the entertainment industry.
She told Times of India: “And nothing would be possible without my fans (I don’t like that word so I’m going to call them Ananians – a word they have coined for themselves).
“The immense love they shower me with every day motivates me to work doubly hard.
“I hope to continue working even harder, challenging myself, never stop learning, and have many more adventures on movie sets.”
India’s Covid-19 crisis has resulted in film shoots and releases being postponed.
Ananya said that she hopes that the magic of films will return once the Covid-19 pandemic is over.
“Hoping and praying for the world to heal – it’s a very difficult time and I’m sending love and prayers to everyone.
“Hopeful the magic of movies will return very soon!”
Ananya Panday previously said that she would be open to projects on OTT platforms, stating that they have been a blessing throughout the pandemic.
She said: “I’m looking forward to doing something in a digital space.
“As an audience member, I have only watched interesting things online like Ludo, Paatal Lok, The Crown, The Queen’s Gambit, etc.
“There are such lovely stories to tell.
“As an actor, I’m quite platform agnostic.
“I’m ok with my work coming out on the big screen or even on a smaller screen as long as it reaches the right audience.”
Currently, Ananya Panday has numerous projects in the pipeline.
This includes Liger, which is set to release on September 9, 2021.
Ananya is also set for a role in an untitled Shakun Batra project, alongside Deepika Padukone and Siddhant Chaturvedi.
