"both of us have grown as actors and individuals."
Kriti Sanon revealed that Varun Dhawan has changed since he got married to Natasha Dalal.
The Bollywood stars will come together for the horror-comedy Bhediya. Kriti and Varun previously worked together in 2015’s Dilwale.
Kriti spoke about her working with Varun again, and also revealed that he has become more mature since getting married.
She explained: “It’s been six years since we worked together.
“I think both of us have grown as actors and individuals.
“He is married now, but he is still the same, only a little more mature than before.
“Bhediya, which is a monster-comedy, is drastically different from what we did in our last project, so it is great fun.”
Varun and Natasha got married in Alibaug in January 2021.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, a select number of family and close friends attended the wedding.
The couple were childhood sweethearts who dated for years before getting married. On their relationship, Natasha had said:
“Varun and I were in school together. We stayed friends until we were in our mid-20s and then, I remember, we started dating just before I moved away.
“It was around then that, I think, we realised we were more than just good friends.”
Meanwhile, Kriti Sanon had discussed the subject of trolling and judgemental people. She said:
“I think people judge too much. This one year, I just felt people have no tolerance and are judging others left, right and centre on anything and everything.
“There’s no patience, and people are always trying to find something negative.”
“I understand that the times we are in can frustrate us, as everyone’s going through issues in their personal and professional lives.”
She went on to say that people should be kinder towards each other given the ongoing situation.
Kriti said that she is now more conscious about what she says on social media, elaborating:
“I used to be a lot freer about what I said earlier, but the environment has kind of made me feel I should not speak if I don’t need it.
“I’ve become a lot more conscious of what I speak.”
She added that people should respect other opinions.
“People need to realise that when people actors speak, their opinion is theirs, it doesn’t have to match anyone else’s.
“I feel we need to be a lot more open-minded and not so judgmental.”
On the work front, Varun and Kriti’s Bhediya is part of producer Dinesh Vijan’s horror-comedy universe.
The film also stars Abhishek Banerjee and Deepak Dobriyal. It is set to release on April 14, 2022.
