Shah Rukh Khan is celebrating 31 years since his Bollywood debut.

On Twitter, fans are celebrating this milestone by feeding the less fortunate.

Dedicated fans were seen giving out food parcels to poverty-stricken people who live on the streets.

Biryani was also distributed among children.

To add to the celebrations, a cake-cutting ceremony took place with the lettering ‘31 SRK’ decorated on top.

Fans gathered outside SRK’s Mannat home, showing their support with banners and posters of the star.

Shah Rukh made his Bollywood debut in the 1992 film Deewana, which starred Divya Bharti and Rishi Kapoor.

Since then, he has starred in a number of hit films.

This includes the likes of Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, Devdas, My Name Is Khan, Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi and Veer-Zaara.

After a nearly five-year break, Shah Rukh Khan returned to Bollywood with a bang, starring in Pathaan, which broke box office records.

He has a number of upcoming projects, including Jawan, which also stars Vijay Sethupathi and Nayanthara.

To mark 31 years in Bollywood, Shah Rukh held a Q&A on Twitter with fans.

He tweeted: “Wow just realised it’s 31 years to the day when Deewana hit the screens.

“It’s been quite a ride mostly a good one. Thanks all and we can do 31 minutes of #AskSRK??”

One fan asked SRK what he was most proud of during his time in Bollywood.

Shah Rukh replied: “Being able to entertain lots of people lots of times. That’s it.”

He was also asked how he selected his roles to which he replied:

“I now try to do the kind of film the particular director wants to do. Not only what I see myself as.”

He went on to reveal that when he signs a project, he writes down the story and character theory.

One fan asked him how he felt about doing his own stunts at the age of 57. Shah Rukh quipped that he had to take pain medication when he performed the stunts.

During the Q&A session, Shah Rukh was asked many questions, one of them being if he felt pressured to bring happiness to people.

Stating that he doesn’t, SRK said: “There is never pressure in giving happiness. It’s sadness one has to avoid.”

Speaking to students who are set to graduate in 2023, the megastar gave the young generation a few words of advice.

He said: “All the best in life, and remember whatever you have learnt will come handy in life. Sometime.”
