“Can’t I just look at you?”
On the latest episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati 13, host Amitabh Bachchan struggled to dance with Katrina Kaif.
Katrina, alongside Akshay Kumar and Rohit Shetty, made a surprise appearance on Kaun Banega Crorepati 13.
The trio is currently promoting their drama-crime film Sooryavanshi.
In the episode aired on November 5, 2021, Katrina was seen teaching Amitabh the steps to ‘Tip Tip Barsa Paani’.
The song had originally featured in Mohra and featured Akshay Kumar and Raveena Tandon.
In 2019, Akshay confirmed that ‘Tip Tip Barsa Paani’ was being recreated for Sooryavanshi.
Originally sung by Udit Narayan and Alka Yagnik, the song has been recreated by Tanishk Bagchi.
Tanishk has also modified some lyrics, originally written by Anand Bakshi.
Director Rohit Shetty requested Amitabh to dance to the song with Katrina.
Amitabh was visibly nervous and asked Katrina to first dance by herself.
She danced before requesting Amitabh to join in. As she taught him the steps, Amitabh seemed confused.
For one of the moves, Katrina told Amitabh the choreography required him to face his left side.
However, Amitabh asked Katrina, who was standing on his right, if he could just look at her.
Amitabh Bachchan said: “Can’t I just look at you?”
Katrina laughed and continued teaching him the dance.
As the song started playing, Amitabh turned towards Akshay and Rohit and said:
“You’ve put me in a spot.”
While Amitabh tried to follow Katrina’s lead, he struggled to keep up and finally surrendered.
Sooryavanshi also includes a recreated version of Pav Dharia’s ‘Na Ja’. Just like ‘Tip Tip Barsa Pani’, ‘Na Ja’ has also been recreated by Tanishk Bagchi.
Earlier in the episode, Amitabh and Katrina reenacted the iconic dialogue from Agneepath.
The episode was filled with many entertaining moments.
Akshay shared his journey before entering Bollywood with Amitabh Bachchan and danced to the song ’Saara Zamana’ from Yaarana.
Katrina, Akshay and Rohit were promoting their Diwali release Sooryavanshi on the quiz show.
The film was released on November 5, 2021, and has received a great opening.
Sooryavanshi was previously slated to be released in cinemas in March 2020 but producers had to postpone the film’s release due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.
Reliance Entertainment Group CEO Shibasish Sarkar said:
“After a long time, we see houseful board outside single screens and multiplexes.
“A day after Diwali is always a big day from a film point of view.
“Cities like Mumbai, Delhi, Gujarat, Pune, UP, Lucknow, Varanasi among others are showing unprecedented response.
“It’s like the good old days hopefully, as audiences are back to theatres.”
Sooryavanshi is director Rohit Shetty’s fourth cop film after Singham, Singham Returns and Simmba.
