“Brother, please stay [in] boxing.”
Boxer Amir Khan learned first hand just how hard it is for a boxer to cross over to mixed martial arts (MMA).
The former world champion decided to try his hand at MMA when undefeated prospect Muhammad Mokaev turned up at his Bolton gym.
Footage showed Khan testing his wrestling and grappling abilities against the Russian-born fighter, however, Mokaev appeared to take the session more seriously.
Khan was seen trying to fight Mokaev off his back but the 20-year-old used his legs to secure his position.
He then proceeded to lock in a rear-naked choke on the Bolton boxer.
After a few seconds of struggling, Khan realised he had nowhere to go and ultimately decided to tap out.
Despite easily being outmatched, Amir Khan was clearly enjoying himself as he was seen with a huge smile on his face while getting back to his feet.
Mokaev uploaded the footage to Instagram and implored Khan to stick to boxing.
He captioned the video: “Brother, please stay [in] boxing.”
Khan left a comment, simply saying: “Haha.”

Muhammad Mokaev was born in Russia but fights out of Manchester. His has a professional record of 2-0 after dominating the amateur ranks with a 25-0 record.
After his brief grappling session with Khan, it is certain that he will face a tougher test when he faces Jamie Kelly on October 1, 2020.
Meanwhile, it is not known when Amir Khan will fight next.
There had been talk of him taking on British rival Kell Brook. The pair have been in a war of words for years but it does not look like they will ever fight.
Khan had said that he signed up with Eddie Hearn in order to get the Brook fight. He then said that Brook was avoiding him.
He told Fight Hub TV: “But then he’s gone up to 154, and I found it quite strange because I thought we were gonna fight each other, and that’s the reason why I went on and fought Crawford.
“It made people feel like it’s me, the one running away from him.”
“But it’s not because it’s Kell Brook who has, in a way, has not said he wants to fight me, but moves up a weight and just avoids the fight.
“Keeps avoiding the fight in different ways, you know, instead of verbally saying ‘I don’t want to fight you.’ He’s avoiding it by moving up in weight.
“By moving up in weight he shows he doesn’t want to fight me.”
Brook fired back, saying on Twitter: “You KHAN’T make this s*** up that comes out that walking soap opera’s mouth.”
