an apparent end to one of British boxing’s biggest feuds.

Amir Khan and Anthony Joshua were pictured together, nearly a decade after Khan accused the heavyweight boxer of sleeping with his wife Faryal Makhdoom.

The unexpected reunion took place in Ghana, where Joshua attended Khan’s first boxing show as a promoter.

Fans mobbed Joshua on arrival, giving the 35-year-old a hero’s welcome.

The two-time former world champion has recently returned from luxury trips to Oman, Dubai, and Saudi Arabia, as he recovers from elbow surgery.

Despite the high-stakes main event between Andrew Tabiti and Jacob Dickson, it was Khan and Joshua’s friendly interaction that stole the spotlight.

The moment marked an apparent end to one of British boxing’s biggest feuds.

The rift began in 2017, when Khan publicly accused Faryal of cheating on him with Joshua.

Khan posted the claims on social media, prompting Joshua to deny the allegations.

Joshua said at the time: “Bantz aside, I hope you guys can resolve your situation, or this is a hack as we have never even met! Plus, I like my women BBW.”

Khan responded by confirming the posts were genuine.

He told his followers: “Everything you saw on social media today is real.

“Nothing’s been hacked. But yeah, what’s done is done. Everything I posted on social media today was true.”

The social media fallout caused a temporary separation between Khan and Makhdoom. Their marriage, however, survived the public scandal.

Speaking to ESPN before his 2019 fight with Terence Crawford, Amir Khan admitted the claim was false and rooted in fake messages circulating online.

He said: “It was a made-up message. A lot of people were making all these fake messages saying that ‘Joshua messaged your wife and she messaged him back’.

“Then I posted it on social media and said, ‘This has happened and it’s true. And I’m calling it over. She’s no longer my wife’.

“I did feel bad, I did feel stupid at the time but the damage was done.”

“I made that mistake in tweeting something and putting it out.

“I was just digging a deeper and deeper hole. I remember I went to see Faryal. I apologised. I said, ‘Look, I don’t know what went through my head’. And I totally changed my ways, changed the way I am.”

Years later, Amir Khan publicly expressed regret for involving Joshua.

Speaking to Gary Neville on The Overlap, Khan said:

“I had the problem with Anthony Joshua, which I feel awful for, because at the end of the day. But I put him in the firing line for no reason.

“I mean, he was a friend of mine. Since then, we’ve never spoken. So I lost a good friend through that as well.”

Joshua’s appearance at Khan’s event signals that the two may finally be on good terms. It also marks a turning point for Khan, who now hopes to build a successful career as a promoter.
