“It’s true that Afsana had to back out"
Singer Afsana Khan has returned to Bigg Boss 15 just hours after dropping out of the show.
Afsana had suffered panic attacks in her hotel room before heading into the house.
She received medical care and made the shocking announcement that she wouldn’t be entering on Instagram.
The Punjabi playback singer uploaded a picture of the medicine she had been told to take onto her story.
Afsana added the caption: “Sorry my fans plz.”
This was following by the praying hands and crying emojis.
According to some local reports, she had already returned to Punjab which a source appeared to confirm:
“It’s true that Afsana had to back out of Bigg Boss due to medical reasons and on the advice of her doctors.
“We had started looking out for her replacement overnight.”
The source went on to reveal that Afsana changed her mind and will be on the show after all.
The source continued: “However, after staying out for a day, she has now decided to return to Bigg Boss.
“Participating in the reality show is a big opportunity and we are glad that she is back in the nick of time.”
“She is flying back tonight.”
The first episode of the hit reality show hosted by Salman Khan will air on Saturday, October 2, 2021.
This season will feature a ‘jungle’ theme with contestants staying in a forest and fighting for basic items before entering the house.
Salman Khan said: “The facilities that contestants will get this time will be lesser than before.
“They will only get a tiny survival kit, they will be punished, and luxury budgets will be slashed.”
It is thought the Bollywood star will be paid a whopping Rs. 350 Crore (£35 million) for 14 weeks this year.
Those entering the house include actress Shamita Shetty, dancer Nishant Bhat and actor Pratik Sehajpal.
All three appeared on Bigg Boss OTT in September 2021, which was won by actress Divya Agarwal.
There were also rumours that she would appear on Bigg Boss 15 but her boyfriend Varun Sood denied the speculation.
The actor wrote on Twitter: “Why would she compete with people who she has already defeated???”
Afsana Khan was the first contestant to be confirmed for the latest series of Bigg Boss.
The singer shot to fame after the release of her and Harrdy Sandhu’s song ‘Titliaan’ in November 2020.
The music video, featuring Harrdy Sandhu and Sargun Mehta, has been viewed over 700 million times.
