"Bet it stinks of curry."
Adnan Sami is a famous playback singer in the Indian music industry.
One of his colleagues is Diljit Dosanjh, who lit up the stage during his tour in 2024.
In October 2024, during such a show, Diljit gifted a female fan his jacket.
This gesture may have been kind, but it was also on the receiving end of hate.
The social media personality Andrew Tate, made a racist remark about the incident on X.
Alluding to the jacket, Tate commented: “Bet it stinks of curry.”
In December 2022, Andrew Tate, his brother Tristan, and two women were arrested in Romania.
In June 2023, all four of them were charged with rape, human trafficking, and forming an organised crime group to exploit women sexually.
Adnan Sami took to Instagram to slam Tate for his racism. Posting an image of Tate’s comment, Adnan said:
“Wrong! It smelled of love, and the best part was that none of the audience members were ‘rapists’ nor ‘child traffickers’ like what you’re accused and arrested for, which surely smells of s**t.
“So, shut the ‘f**k up!”
Fans lauded Adnan for his response. One user commented: “Thanks Adnan for standing up.”
Another said: “Whoa! Love you, Adnan Sami, for your befitting reply. These supremacists deserve to be shown their place.”
A third person wrote: “There couldn’t be a better reply. Love you, Adnan.”

In July 2024, the British police brought a civil case against Tate, his brother, and another person for alleged tax evasion.
Meanwhile, the Romanian authorities expanded its investigation to include more crimes, including sex with a minor, money laundering, and attempting to influence witnesses.
The brothers have denied all of the allegations.
In September 2024, Adnan Sami addressed his break from playback singing and said:
“I primarily needed a bit of time to myself to recuperate, rejuvenate, and be receptive while listening to some new stuff that has come my way.
“You don’t actually realise that it’s been such a gap because time flies at a ferocious space.
“I am currently touring a lot with concerts around the world.
“But I am happy to be getting back into the recording phase and I am doing a lot of new stuff and recording for films as well as independent music which has been a very important part of my life.”
