"Imagine working with such a demon."
Ajay Devgn’s Son of Sardaar 2 saw Vijay Raaz as a part of its original cast.
The film is an extension of Son of Sardaar (2012) and is currently being filmed in the UK.
However, it came to light that Vijay had been fired from the upcoming sequel. This was allegedly due to rude behaviour.
The film’s producer Kumar Mangat said that Vijay was removed from Son of Sardaar 2 for a lack of cooperation and never-ending demands.
Kumar elaborated: “Yes, it’s true that we have removed Vijay Raaz from the film because of his behaviour on the sets.
“He demanded bigger rooms, a vanity van and also overcharged us for the spot boys.
“His spot boy was being paid Rs. 20,000 (£185) per night which is more than any big actor.
“The UK is an expensive place, and everyone got standard rooms during the shoot but he demanded premium suites.
“When we tried explaining the costing scenario to him, he refused to understand and spoke rudely.
“His constant response was, ‘You were the ones who approached me. I didn’t come to you asking for work’.
“His behaviour kept getting worse. He demanded two cars for a three-person staff to travel.”
Meanwhile, Vijay Raaz claimed he was fired from the film as he did not greet Ajay Devgn on set.
Vijay explained: “I reached the location before time where actors Ravi Kishan, executive producer Ashish, producer Kumar Mangat and filmmaker Vijay Arora came to meet me.
“I stepped out of the van and spotted Ajay Devgn, who was standing about 25 metres away from me.
“I didn’t greet him as he was busy. 25 minutes later, Mr Mangat came to me and said, ‘You can leave the film, we are removing you’.”
Vijay was also asked about his demand for a bigger room.
He responded: “26 years in the industry, can’t I make this demand?
“The only misconduct from my end is that I didn’t greet Mr Ajay Devgn.
“I didn’t even meet the crew, and these are the only people I interacted with.
“I was removed from the film 30 minutes after reaching the sets, as I didn’t greet Ajay Devgn.
“These are powerful people and the chatter of misconduct doesn’t arise at all.”
However, Kumar denied the claim and continued: “We suffered a loss of at least Rs. 2 crores (£1 million) for removing Vijay Raaz.
“We would not take such drastic steps for such small matters. His behaviour was a major area of concern.”
The producer added that Vijay was accused of sexual harassment by a hotel employee.
He said: “Imagine working with such a demon in the team. We got an official email from the hotel.
“Strict action will be taken against all offenders.
“As I said, we are happy to disassociate with Vijay Raaz and we don’t wish to work with such a person.”
Vijay shot back: “There is a difference of at least 10 hours between the two episodes.
“I was removed from the film on August 4 at 2 pm and the episode at the hotel took place at 11 pm on the same day.
“I have nothing to do with it. I am no longer working with the spot boy.”
Vijay Raaz and Ajay Devgn previously starred in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Gangubai Kathiawadi (2022).
Son of Sardaar 2 recently found itself in scandalous headlines when it emerged that Sanjay Dutt had been replaced by Ravi Kishan in the film.
This was because Sanjay was apparently denied a visa to work in the UK.
The actor said: “I know one thing that the UK government did not do the right thing.
“They gave me the visa initially. In the UK, all the payments were made. Everything was ready.”
“Then a month later, you are cancelling my visa! I gave the UK government all the papers and everything that was required.
“Why did you give me the visa in the first place?
“You shouldn’t have given me the visa. How come it took you one month to realise the law?”
On the work front, Vijay Raaz will next be seen in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3.
