"There are so many riots happening there."

Sanjay Dutt is one of the most popular Bollywood stars on a global scale.

Despite his admiration, the superstar claimed that he had been denied entry into the UK several times.

Sanjay specifically recounted an incident surrounding the upcoming Son of Sardaar 2.

The actor has reportedly been dropped from the project due to visa issues.

Son of Sardaar 2 is currently being filmed in Edinburgh.

Delving into his resentment, Sanjay Dutt said: “I know one thing that the UK government did not do the right thing.

“They gave me the visa initially. In the UK, all the payments were made. Everything was ready.

“Then a month later, you are cancelling my visa! I gave the UK government all the papers and everything that was required.

“Why did you give me the visa in the first place?

“You shouldn’t have given me the visa. How come it took you one month to realise the laws?”

Sanjay Dutt also addressed the current far-right riots plaguing the UK.

He continued: “Anyway, who is going to the UK? There are so many riots happening there.

“Even the Indian government has issued a statement that you should not visit the UK.

“So, I am not missing out on anything. But yes, they have done wrong.

“They need to rectify this. I am a law-abiding citizen.

“I go according to the law and I respect the law of every country.”

Despite asserting his law-abiding nature, Sanjay Dutt has found himself in legal trouble in the past.

In 1993, the actor was arrested for the illegal possession of an AK-56 rifle.

After 20 years of various ordeals and incarcerations, Sanjay was returned to prison in 2013 to complete his sentence.

He was finally released as a free man in February 2016.

Sources also alleged that his legal controversy led to Sanjay not being able to obtain a visa for the UK.

One source stated: “Ever since his arrest in 1993, while Sanjay has travelled to the US, he has applied for a UK visa multiple times, but never got one.

“The Son of Sardaar 2 shoot would have been his first trip to the UK.”

“However, after Ajay Devgn’s team found out that the senior actor’s visa request had been rejected, they replaced him with Ravi Kishan.”

In the original film, Son of Sardaar (2012), Sanjay played Balwinder ‘Billu’ Singh Sandhu.

On the work front, Sanjay Dutt will next be seen in the Telugu film Double iSmart. It is scheduled to be released on August 15, 2024.
