For this weekend fashion between 20th and 21st May 2017, all eyes focused on the annual Cannes Film Festival. And this year, various Bollywood stars travelled to the sunny French location to show off their spectacular gowns and suits.

We’ve already covered the likes of Deepika Padukone and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. But who else attended?

From wearing stylish suits to sexy, beautiful gowns, Bollywood showed they can produce glamorous icons.

Let’s take a look at some of the best weekend fashion!

Tiger Shroff

The young Bollywood star marked his debut appearance at Cannes 2017 this year. While he may have kept it quiet, fans appeared amazed with his handsome attire.

Going for an all-white look, Tiger Shroff wore a cream blazer and trouser suit. He added a touch of colour with brown trainers, also creating a modern edge to the classic suit.

Finishing the outfit off with dark sunglasses and tousled hair, Tiger looked all set to hit the red carpet.

He attended the film festival this year to promote the upcoming reboot of Rocky. Set to take on the titular role, perhaps Tiger will win the hearts of Hollywood fans too.

Shruti Haasan

Shruti Haasan also wowed us with her sexy look at Cannes 2017. She marked her final appearance at this year’s film festival with sultry style.

Opting to wear a sleek black dress, its plunging neckline set fans’ pulses racing. Her choice of jewellery complimented the look well, as she wore a simple Chopard necklace. Decorated with jewelled flowers, it added to the simple, yet classic look.

Shruti accessorised the outfit with a bejewelled clutch bag. Matching her colour scheme of black and silver, it added perfect finishing touches.

The actress chose to wear this look for the Cannes 2017 premiere of How to Talk to Girls at Parties.

Malika Sherawat

Malika Sherawat graced the Cannes 2017 red carpet with this stunning gown. Designed by Georges Hobeika, she returned to her favourite fashion designer, who crafted an equally impressive outfit last year.

The cream floor-length gown looked utterly elegant as it contained floral embroidery. With its bardot neckline and perfectly cinched waist, Malika stunned fans with her trim figure and regal appearance.

The actress gave a pop of colour to her outfit with her makeup. Dark eyeshadow and a purple lipstick added warmth to this gorgeous red carpet look.

She also kept to a simple choice of jewellery, crafted by Messika Joaillerie. Styling her hair into long, flowing tresses, Malika made sure she was one to watch out for at the film festival.

Sonam Kapoor

Sonam Kapoor has shown she can dominate the red carpet at Cannes 2017. But what about her day looks?

Well, the actress created the ultimate fashion statement with this stylish outfit. Choosing to wear an Indian saree, Sonam added a touch of culture to the film festival.

Designed by NorBlack NorWhite, the ‘Shimma Saree’ adds an alternative edge with its unusual colours. Perfect for the summer, the hand-dyed saree creates an iridescent effect.

And the Bollywood fashionista showed she can pull looks for the day as well as the red carpet.

Sonam completed her look with statement accessories, including an IWC Watch and Lynn Ban jewellery.

Amy Jackson

British beauty Amy Jackson turned heads at Cannes when she hit the red carpet in a stunningly elegant Georges Hobeika dress.

The strappy off-white number was embroidered in golden beige silk tulle. Jackson’s look reminds us of a classic Hollywood starlet with her hair tied back in a chic chignon.

With her trademark smokey eyes and a deep pink lip, this was the third white-inspired outfit that Amy wore at Cannes.

The Bollywood actress who has just filmed for her first British Asian film, Boogie Man, enjoyed a weekend on the french Riviera with friends.

Cannes fashion is always a mixed bag with some incredible looks along with some not-so-great ones.

We’re pretty pleased with the efforts of our Bollywood stars this year. Their elegant styles are effortlessly chic, and we look forward to what next weekend’s fashion has in store.
