"With my kids, I need some privacy"
Virat Kohli made headlines after he got into a heated exchange with an Australian journalist.
It happened at Melbourne Airport ahead of the fourth Test.
The incident was reported to be due to Kohli’s privacy concerns regarding his family.
While reporters were interviewing Australian pacer Scott Boland, Kohli and his family were spotted nearby.
Cameras shifted focus to the Indian cricketer, leading him to assume that his children were being filmed.
An agitated Kohli confronted a Channel 7 reporter, saying:
“With my kids, I need some privacy; you can’t film without asking me.”
The journalist clarified that the cameras were not targeting Kohli’s children, and the situation was a misunderstanding.
Following reassurances, Kohli shook hands with a cameraman, signalling that the matter had been resolved amicably.
Meanwhile, Kohli’s on-field performance in Australia has been underwhelming.
Apart from a century in Perth, he has struggled to score runs, managing only 26 in his other innings.
With the series tied 1-1, Kohli and Team India are gearing up for the Boxing Day Test in Melbourne.
It is a critical match that could decide the fate of the Test series.

In a separate development, Kohli’s ex-coach Rajkumar Sharma confirmed rumours that the cricketer and his family are planning to settle in London.
Sharma revealed: “Virat is planning to move to London with his wife Anushka Sharma and their children, Vamika and Akaay.
“He will leave India soon and settle there.”
The move, motivated by a desire for privacy and a quieter life, has sparked mixed reactions among fans.
While some supported Kohli’s decision, others criticised it, accusing him of abandoning the country that elevated him to stardom.
A user said:
“Leaving the country that gave you everything. Ungrateful.”
Another wrote: “Shameful, anyway his choice!
“He has earned this fame, and his name is all from India. Going and settling away from India definitely is not good optics.”
One commented: “And people call them their idol. Minted money from India just like Britishers did, only to settle in London.”
Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma welcomed their daughter Vaamika in January 2021.
Their son Akaay was born on February 15, 2024, in London, making him eligible for British citizenship.
As Virat Kohli prepares for the next chapter of his life, his move remains a hot topic of discussion.
