A video clip went viral in which Vikrant Massey seemed to be belligerent with a taxi driver.
In the clip, Vikrant and the driver appeared to get into an argument about the actor refusing to pay the fare.
The video shows the driver holding the camera.
He is purported to face Vikrant and he said: “So you won’t give [the fare]?”
Vikrant’s voice is heard as he replies: “Why would I? And why are you shouting?”
The disgruntled driver faced the camera and said: “My name is Ashish. I am a cab driver.
“I have dropped my passenger to his location and he is not giving me my fare.
“Instead, he is arguing with me. He is also swearing.”
The driver turned the camera to show Vikrant Massey, who was in the passenger seat.
Vikrant was shown to put his hand in front of the camera, causing it to shake slightly.
He asked: “Why have you got a camera out? Are you threatening me?
“I’m only making sense. Why has the fare increased suddenly? This isn’t right.”
The driver shot back: “Why isn’t it right, sir? How is this my fault?”
Vikrant said: “I’m not saying it is your fault. You’re the one who is saying that it’s the app’s fault.
“Is this wrong or not?”
The taxi driver then said: “Sir, you make so much money, yet you are still arguing.”
Vikrant Massey reasoned: “It doesn’t matter who the money belongs to. It’s still hard-earned, isn’t it?
“And you yourself are saying that this is the app’s fault. It’s not done.”

Although the video went viral, some viewers believed the whole scenario was simply a publicity stunt.
One fan said: “This is quite a casual way of promoting a movie.”
Another added: “Yeah, this seems like some publicity gimmick for his upcoming series/film.
“And where did he get violent? That’s not visible.”
A third user said: “The script is good.”
If this was indeed a publicity stunt, it would not be the first time a celebrity has acted controversially.
In February 2024, Poonam Pandey infamously faked her death.
News spread that the star had passed away due to cervical cancer. However, it later emerged that this was untrue.
In the wake of the PR stunt, Poonam insisted that she allowed the false news to raise awareness of the illness.
