‘Jaanam’ is the second track from Vicky Kaushal and Triptii Dimri’s film Bad Newz has been released, however, it has received a mixed response.
The sultry number has the lead stars in bold avatars and romancing each other.
‘Jaanam’ begins with Vicky and Triptii reaching their getaway villa.
They kiss on the staircase and make suggestive expressions in bed.
The pair also hit the swimming pool.
They also pack on the PDA in the shower and fail to have dinner together, ruining the cake to share a passionate kiss.
Composed, written and performed by Vishal Mishra, ‘Jaanam’ has been choreographed by Remo D’Souza.
Viewers swooned over Vicky and Triptii’s sizzling chemistry, with one writing:
“You can ignore Bollywood but you can’t ignore Vicky.”
Another praised Vishal Mishra’s vocals, commenting:
“Vishal Mishra vocals from the heart.”
A third user said: “This is the most sultry song of the year!
“The smooth vocals and captivating beat make it irresistible. It’s a vibe like no other!”
However, many were left cringing and were unimpressed with the unnecessary “boldness” on display.
One person wrote: “It’s actually cringe.”
Another said: “I don’t understand what motivated actors like Triptii and Vicky to get into this crap! They are good actors.”
Some turned their attention to Triptii and criticised her styling.
One person said: “She [Triptii] was so classy and dignified in her last film. Why this trashy styling? All this skin show doesn’t work for her.
“She is cute and pretty, not sexy and catty.”
Another felt there was a lack of chemistry and wrote:

‘Jaanam’ follows ‘Tauba Tauba’, which was the film’s first song release.
Also starring Ammy Virk, Bad Newz is a bizarre comedy about heteropaternal superfecundation.
