Urfi Javed reveals Casting Director asked for Sexual Favours

Urfi Javed called out Punjab-based casting director Obed Afridi for demanding sexual favours from young girls.

She also accused him of trying to defame her.

Many other actors and models, including Priyank Sharma, supported Urfi and shared their stories with the casting director.

Urfi Javed shared a series of posts on her Instagram Story where she revealed that Obed had been asking for sexual favours from young girls for providing acting roles.

She also shared screenshots of the girls who contacted her and shared their stories with the casting director.

In one of the screenshots of Urfi’s conversation with Obed, the actress wrote:

“I will make sure you don’t repeat this with anyone ever. I will name and shame you.”

In response to Urfi’s direct message, the casting director said: “Sure, done. I don’t care. Lol.”

Priyank Sharma took to his Instagram Story and revealed that the casting director had asked for sexual favours from a close friend of his in 2020:

“You are nothing but a shame to the world of casting directors and this industry.

“Not just once but I don’t know how many ladies and girls you will try slut-shaming and offering them work in exchange for sex.

“Ladies, beware of this guy.

“I tried explaining to him two years back when somebody close to me experienced the same thing but he was completely unapologetic for this.

“You think you can try to mess with my people again and I will spare you? You piece of s***!”

Urfi thanked Priyank for sharing his story on social media and for supporting her.

Urfi also shared a screenshot of a report on Obed Afridi from 2019 when he was arrested for exploiting aspiring female models.

In another screenshot, the director claimed that Urfi ditches projects at the last minute, so he hired another celebrity to take her place.

Urfi wrote that the casting director didn’t pay her for the shoot in question.

In other screenshots, Urfi shared that five girls had contacted her and informed her about the director.

One of the girls shared that the casting director offered her a lead role in her favourite singer’s music video and in return asked her to sleep with the producer.

When she refused, he asked the girl to speak to the producer on a video call and not reveal her face.

On the work front, Urfi Javed was last seen on Bigg Boss OTT.

She has also acted in several TV shows including Bade Bhaiyya Ki Dulhania, Meri Durga and Bepannaah.
