"He did that in front of my mother and my family!”
Uorfi Javed took to Instagram to share an incident where she was harassed by a 15-year-old boy.
The actress and fashionista explained that it happened while she was being photographed with her family and promoting her new series Follow Kar Lo Yaar.
In an Instagram Story, she wrote:
“Yesterday something extremely uncomfortable happened with me and my family, a group of guys were passing by while I was getting papped, a guy shouted at me ‘What’s your body count’ in front of everyone.
“The boy was hardly 15 years old.
“He did that in front of my mother and my family!”
Uorfi posted a video of the incident on her Story and captioned it:
“You can clearly see from my expressions I was taken aback!!
“Wanted to punch that man right in front of the paps.
“Please teach your boys to respect women or people in general. I feel sad for the boy’s parents.”
Since gaining fame, Uorfi Javed has shared numerous instances of harassment.
In July 2023, she revealed an incident involving a group of drunk men on a flight.
Sharing a muted video, Uorfi wrote:
“While travelling from Mumbai to Goa on one of the flights yesterday I had to go through harassment.
“The men in this video were saying nasty things, eve teasing and calling names.
“When I confronted them one of them said that their friends were drunk. Being drunk is no excuse to misbehave with women.
“Public figure YES, Public property NO.”
On the work front, Uorfi Javed is currently promoting Follow Kar Lo Yaar, which premiered on Amazon Prime Video on August 23, 2024.
The show provides an unfiltered look at her life, both personal and professional.
One highlight was when Uorfi shocked her sisters by revealing she had not had sex in three years.
She said:
“I have not had sex in three years.”
“I have not even kissed a man in three years, I have not even spoken to a man romantically in three years.”
Explaining why, Uorfi continued: “And why am I not having sex?
“There is a reason for that too. I took an oath three years ago. Unless Uorfi has a private jet, Uorfi will not wait for anyone.
“I think I have been very hyper-independent all my life.
“I do everything alone, so I feel that even if I have a partner, I don’t want to be so vulnerable in front of him.”
