The actress changed her name on Instagram to “Sajal Ahad Mir.”
One of Pakistan’s most popular celebrity couples, actress Sajal Ali and actor Ahad Raza Mir have exchanged vows in a destination wedding in Abu Dhabi on Saturday, March 14, 2020.
The much-adored couple is well-known for their roles in the hit Pakistani dramas Yeh Dil Mera (2019-2020) and Yaqeen Ka Safar (2017).
Sajal and Ahad got engaged in June 2019. Sajal looked stunning in a dusty pink ensemble while Ahad wore simple white salwar kameez. She said:
“Here’s to new beginnings. Today we are happy to announce that with the blessings of our families we are officially engaged.
“Our special day will be even more special with the love and prayers of our family, friends and fans. Sajal & Ahad.”
Ever since their engagement, the couple dodged any questions regarding their impending wedding.
Sajal and Ahad remained tight-lipped. However, the wait is now over as the couple has tied the knot.
Known as ‘Sahad’ by their loving fans, details of their intimate wedding are now out.
Their wedding was held at an undisclosed location in Abu Dhabi surrounded by close family and friends.
Previously, it was rumoured the couple would wed in Turkey, however, Ahad shut down these reports.
He confirmed the pair would have a destination wedding but not in Turkey.
Sajal’s and Ahad’s wedding festivities began a week prior to their wedding day.
Since then, adorable pictures from their dholki and mayun ceremonies have been circulating social media.
For their joint mayun ceremony, Sajal wore a beautiful orange and green gharara while Ahad donned a traditional white salwar kameez with thread work embroidery.
On their wedding day, the couple went for the traditional and elegant look.
Sajal can be seen in a gorgeous red wedding ensemble complete with delicate gold jewellery.
Loyal fans of the star were quick to notice that Sajal recreated her late mother’s wedding look.
Ahad complemented his wife with a smart white sherwani complete with a turban.
Both stars took to Instagram to share the news of their union with their fans.
Posting the same picture, Sajal captioned it, “Hello Mr. Mir” while Ahad wrote, “Hello Mrs. Mir.”
Shortly after tying the knot with Ahad, eagle-eyed fans noticed the actress changed her name on Instagram to “Sajal Ahad Mir.”
Also, her fan following increased to five million followers after Sajal and Ahad confirmed the news of their wedding.
