Things got very heated on Bigg Boss 16 after Tina Datta and Shalin Bhanot after hearing what Sumbul Touqeer Khan’s father said about them.
Touqeer Hasan Khan was given permission to speak to his daughter after claiming it was for medical reasons.
During the call, he made several disrespectful remarks against Tina and Shalin, telling Sumbul to expose them.
Touqeer later regretted his comments, however, fuel was added to the fire when his phone call with Sumbul was played out to the housemates.
In a promo video, an announcement stated that one contestant received a message from outside the house.
A call was made to Sumbul on “humanitarian grounds” but Touqeer used it for the “wrong reasons”.
The housemates then heard the comments made by Touqeer.
Unsurprisingly, Tina and Shalin were angry, with the latter screaming at Sumbul:
“Why the f*** are you talking to us?”
He continues to berate Sumbul, telling her to never speak to him before kicking a box.
Sumbul attempts to reason with them but this angers Tina. When Sumbul tries to defend her father’s comments, Tina replies:
“I am also someone’s daughter.”
A furious Tina is then seen punching a wall and exclaiming that Touqeer was “assassinating” her “character”.
She addresses the camera: “To save his daughter’s reputation, he is assassinating my character. If your daughter doesn’t listen to you, don’t point fingers at other girls.”
In another room, Sumbul is in tears while the other housemates try to calm her down.
As Nimrit Kaur urges her to relax, Sumbul seems to panic.
Nimrit then calls for medical assistance as Sumbul appears to struggle with her breathing and lies down.

After seeing the heated promo, many viewers sided with Sumbul.
One said: “Whatever Sumbul’s father said is 100% correct. Tina and Shalin deserve this.”
Another commented:
“Tina, what about the character assassination of a 19-year-old girl on the entire national TV?”
Others criticised the makers of Bigg Boss 16 for showing the phone call for entertainment purposes, believing they were “emotionally torturing” Sumbul.
In the upcoming ‘Weekend Ka Vaar’ episode, Salman Khan scolds Touqeer in front of Tina Datta’s mother and Shalin Bhanot’s parents.
After expressing his regret, Touqeer urged viewers not to vote for his daughter so that she gets evicted.
He said: “I know there are people who love her but I think it’s time she should be out.
“The girl who is in the house is not my daughter. She has lost her positivity and happiness.
“I don’t want her to go through any grief again. I would thus request her fans to not vote for her. I am praying she gets evicted this Saturday.”
