Tiger Shroff has revealed that he has hurt his eye during the filming of his upcoming movie, Ganapath (2022).

The Bollywood actor shared a photo of himself with the injury on his Instagram Story with his 32.7 million followers.

Taken on what appears to be the set of the film, he included the caption:

“S**t happens. Ganapath final countdown.”

The 31-year-old also added the song ‘Play Hard’ by David Guetta featuring Ne-Yo and Akon in the background of the post.

Shroff, who is the son of Jackie Shroff, will star in the movie alongside his Heropanti (2014) co-star Kriti Sanon.

The pair are believed to have flown to the UK for the production of their latest film together.

Directed by Vikas Bahl, the action thriller will also feature Elli AvrRam with Mouni Roy set to make a cameo.

It is thought that the movie is part of a two-part series which will follow the journey of a young boxer from Mumbai.

It is also believed that the story of an underdog will include a strongly father-son subplot.

Shroff, who is a known MMA, wrestling and boxing fan, has previously said he wanted to do a film like this.

He is known to have been working extremely hard on his physique, particularly during lockdown, for the role.

The actor often posts videos of himself working out and rehearsing on his Instagram.

One such video shows an action rehearsal whereby he mistakenly kicks his trainer, Nadeem Akhtar, in the crotch.

He apologised to his trainer in the caption, writing:

“When action rehearsals go wrong. Sorry bro.”

Rom-com Heropanti had been Tiger Shroff’s debut acting role and he has since appeared in various other films.

Some of his most notable work includes A Flying Jatt (2016) in which he starred opposite Jacqueline Fernandez.

Another is Student of the Year 2 (2019) with Ananya Panday and Tara Sutaria.

The actor’s latest film was the action thriller, Baaghi 3 (2020), which was a box office hit.

Shroff also has a number of upcoming projects including Heropanti 2 (2022), which is set to be released on April 29.

He has also been cast in Siddharth Anand’s Rambo, with Nithish and Sarwan Ali Palijo, which does not yet seem to have a release date scheduled.

Meanwhile, Ganapath will be released on December 23, 2022.
