"My films speak for themselves."
Taapsee Pannu delved into her relationship with the paparazzi and revealed why she does not believe in appeasing them.
The actress said: “How will you click on the news then? Tell me who clicks on positive news? When was the last time you clicked on positive news?
“Now, this kind of news is more sensational. ‘She’s being nasty and rude to paparazzi’ so everyone is like, ‘What happened? let’s see.
“So that is more exciting for an audience.”
Explaining that she does not need to appease them, she continued:
“These things aren’t fetching me films. My films speak for themselves.
“So I don’t have to appease a section of so-called media, I don’t even call them direct media because they’re serving their vested interest that someone just clicks on their portal.
“I don’t call them media. Media is not supposed to desperately put out lines or videos that are clickbait.”
In March 2024, Taapsee Pannu reportedly married her longtime partner Mathias Boe in secret.
A source said at the time: “The wedding took place in Udaipur and was an extremely intimate affair. The pre-wedding festivities kick-started on March 20.
“The couple was very sure that they didn’t want any media attention on their big day.
“Both of them are known to be very private and reserved people and they wouldn’t have had it any other way.”
According to the source, there were not many Bollywood celebrities in attendance because Taapsee only wanted her closest peers to attend.
The source continued:
“Taapsee’s Dobaaraa and Thappad co-star Pavail Gulati joined the guests at her and Mathais’ wedding.”
“Anurag Kashyap, who shares a rather close bond with Taapsee and has directed her in films like Manmarziyaan and Dobaaraa and produced Saand Ki Aankh also flew to Udaipur.”
A video appearing to be from the wedding later surfaced.
The video showed Taapsee in a red lehenga.
She walked towards Mathias, who was dressed in a sherwani and turban.
Taapsee’s sister Shagun Pannu and several other women walked with the bride as she made her way to the outdoor wedding venue.
On the work front, Taapsee Pannu will be next seen in Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba, which will premiere on Netflix on August 9, 2024.
The movie also features Vikrant Massey and Sunny Kaushal in prominent roles.
