It is reported that Taapsee Pannu and Mathias Boe have tied the knot in a secret ceremony.
They are said to have got married on March 23, 2024, in front of their families and closest friends.
A source told News18: “The wedding took place in Udaipur and was an extremely intimate affair. The pre-wedding festivities kick-started on March 20.
“The couple was very sure that they didn’t want any media attention on their big day.
“Both of them are known to be very private and reserved people and they wouldn’t have had it any other way.”
According to the source, there were not many Bollywood celebrities in attendance because Taapsee only wanted her closest peers to attend.
The source continued: “Taapsee’s Dobaaraa and Thappad co-star Pavail Gulati joined the guests at her and Mathais’ wedding.
“Anurag Kashyap, who shares a rather close bond with Taapsee and has directed her in films like Manmarziyaan and Dobaaraa and produced Saand Ki Aankh also flew to Udaipur.”
Kanika Dhillon, who has worked with Taapsee Pannu on various films, and her husband Himanshu Sharma were also reportedly part of the wedding.
Although Taapsee has not confirmed her marriage, several pictures that are rumoured to be from the wedding have gone viral.
Kanika shared a series of pictures wearing a pastel ensemble but it was the hashtag #MereYaarKiShaadi that sparked interest.
A group photo featuring Taapsee’s sister Shagan Pannu also circulated online.
Posted by Pavail Gulati, the picture also featured badminton players Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty.
They were dressed in Indian ethnic wear and posed in front of curtains and chandeliers.
Pavail’s caption – seemingly a reference to Taapsee often speaking about wanting to keep her wedding fuss-free and private – read:
“Twinkle twinkle little star, we have no idea where we are!”
On Reddit, one eagle-eyed fan wrote:
“Mathias Boe is the coach of Satvik and Chirag who are attending some wedding in which Tapasee’s sister is also there.”
Another said: “If she did (marry) congratulations to her.
“And that’s how you keep wedding private, not by sharing the news through your PR and have every little detail come in the news as rumour and still say ‘no no nothing is happening’ and nonsense.”
Taapsee Pannu previously said she would make a wedding announcement at the “right place and moment”.
She said: “I want to get married one day, and whenever I do, you will get to know about it… if I find the right place and moment for it, I will myself talk about it.
“But there’s this forceful prodding… If I have to announce it, I will do it. Am I doing something wrong?
“Marriage is a part of our life, it is accepted by everyone. It is not like I am cheating on anyone. It’s not like I’m doing something illegal. So why all this (speculation)?”
