He then strangled her to death.
An Indian husband has been arrested for murdering his wife whom he had married out of love.
It was reported that he killed her as he suspected her character. The killing took place on Sunday, January 19, 2020, in Jaipur, Rajasthan.
The victim was identified as 22-year-old Naina Mangalani while her husband was named as Ayaz Ahmed, aged 26.
Ahmed strangled his wife to death before dumping her body in an isolated area near the Delhi-Jaipur highway. He then bludgeoned her head with a large rock.
After his arrest, Ahmed eventually confessed to killing his wife.
He told police that he met Naina in 2017 and the two became friends. They went on to begin a relationship and eventually got married in October 2017.
After getting married, they moved to Mangalam City where they lived together in a flat.
Ahmed revealed that he was suspicious of his wife’s character and had been for some time. He said he thought she may have been having an affair as she had over 6,000 friends on Facebook and was always on her phone.
Due to this, the couple had regular arguments.
According to Naina’s parents, their daughter moved out of her home as a result of the constant quarrels. For a few months, she has been staying in Jaisinghpura Khor.
In November 2019, Naina gave birth to a son.
It was reported that Naina had started seeking a divorce from her husband, which caused the dispute between the couple to become more heated.
The Indian husband became fed up with Naina and conspired to kill her.
On the morning of the killing, he called his wife to arrange a meeting so they could sort out their differences.
The estranged couple met and had a few drinks until it turned dark.
After, Ahmed took Naina to a secluded spot near the Jaipur-Delhi highway in Amer. He then strangled her to death.
In an attempt to prevent the body from being identified, Ahmed took a large rock and crushed her head with it.
Ahmed then covered her body with a cloth. He also pushed his wife’s scooter into some bushes before fleeing the scene.
On January 20, a passerby saw the body and alerted the police. Officers arrived at the scene and launched an investigation.
They managed to identify Naina’s body, recovered the scooter and went to question Ahmed.
After finding discrepancies in his statement, Ahmed was arrested and he later admitted killing his wife as he was suspicious of her.
