Cricketer Shubman Gill has broken his silence on the rumours that he is dating Sara Ali Khan.
He appeared on a talk show with Sonam Bajwa, where she questioned him on his equation with the actress.
Although Shubman kept things brief, he did drop some hints.
On Sonam’s chat show Dil Diyan Gallan, Shubman appeared as a guest.
When Sonam asked the cricketer to name the fittest actress in Bollywood, Shubman quickly responded:
“Sara!”
His answer raised eyebrows and it led Sonam to bluntly ask:
“Are you dating Sara?”
Implying that he is, Shubman replied: “Maybe.”
Sonam pushes him to reveal all, saying: “Please tell us the whole truth.”
Shubman blushed and laughed before stating:
“I am telling the whole truth. Maybe, maybe not.”

Despite the cricketer’s ambiguous response to the dating rumours, he and Sara Ali Khan have been spotted together on numerous occasions, fuelling speculation.
Rumours began circulating after a fan spotted the actress and the cricketer dining together at a restaurant.
It led to social media users expressing their surprise.
One asked: “What is happening?”
Another said:
“Shubman Gill and Sara Ali Khan were NOT on my 2022 bingo.”
Things escalated in October 2022 when Sara apparently had a romantic getaway with Shubman.
In a video, Sara was seen leaving a hotel and handing her luggage to a member of staff. A few moments later, a man handed his luggage to the same staff member.
Although the man’s face could not be seen clearly, he appeared to be Shubman Gill.
Another video showed the pair sitting together on a flight.
This led to fans stating that they were indeed in a relationship.
One user said: “Yes that’s him so I guess they are officially dating.”
Another declared: “OMG they are dating.”
A third wondered: “Maybe I’m wrong but it looks like Shubman and Sara were sitting next to each other.”
One curious user asked: “Is that Sara and Shubman together again?”
Following Shubman’s hints, this is the first time that either he or Sara has spoken about their rumoured relationship, however, they have not been any confirmation.
Previously, Sara was in a relationship with her Love Aaj Kal co-star Kartik Aaryan but they reportedly parted ways in 2020.
In recent interviews, Sara has denied being in a relationship.
