Actor Sanjay Kapoor and Maheep Kapoor’s daughter, Shanaya Kapoor, is all set to make her Bollywood debut.
The 21-year-old is set to be launched under Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions.
Karan Johar, who has also launched the likes of Ananya Panday, took to Instagram to announce the news.
Alongside several pictures of Shanaya, Karan wrote:
“Welcome to the #DCASquad, @shanayakapoor02!
“It’s going to be an unforgettable and exciting journey that begins with your first film with @DharmaMovies, this July.”
Karan also shared a video where Shanaya was seen in different outfits as she posed for photos.
The post was captioned: “Another beautiful addition to our growing @dcatalent family!
“Welcome to the #DCASquad, @shanayakapoor02. Her enthusiasm, perseverance, and diligence are so amazing to see.
“Join us in showering your love & blessings as she begins her first film with @DharmaMovies, this July! Watch this space for film details!!!”

Shanaya expressed her happiness about making her debut. She wrote:
“Woke up today with the most grateful heart!
“Here’s to a great journey ahead with the @dcatalent family. Excited to kickstart my FIRST FILM (ahhh!!) this July by @dharmamovies, can’t wait for you all to see what we’re up to! Stay tuned! #DCASquad.”
The news resulted in messages of congratulations. Her parents were among the first to send a message of congratulations.
They posted:
“With her unabashed enthusiasm, resilience and sparkle – My daughter is all set to take over your screens soon.
“Give her your love and blessings as she is ready to start the journey of her FIRST FILM with Dharma Movies this July.
“Watch out for the announcement of the film! #DCASquad.”
One of Shanaya’s closest friends and Shah Rukh Khan’s daughter, Suhana Khan, commented on the post, saying “yayy” along with heart emojis.
Dharma Cornerstone Agency (DCA) is all set to be an indomitable powerhouse of talent that will drive collaborations and become the benchmark for artist management and representation in the country.
Former journalist Rajeev Masand is the COO of DCA.
Shanaya Kapoor was an assistant on Janhvi Kapoor’s Gunjan Saxena – The Kargil Girl.
She had previously appeared on the reality show Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives, which featured her mother Maheep.
Shanaya has a large social media following, boasting more than 480,000 Instagram followers.
She is now set to enter Bollywood. While it is not known what the title of her debut is called, she will start filming in July 2021.
