The first teaser of Case No. 9, Saba Qamar’s new legal drama, has been released, sparking immediate conversation.

In the series, Saba plays Sehar Moazzam, a rape victim who is determined to fight an unforgiving justice system.

Faysal Quraishi portrays her attacker, while Gohar Rasheed takes on the role of a cunning police officer.

Aamina Sheikh plays Sehar’s lawyer, with Junaid Khan, Navin Waqar, Ali Rehman Khan and others joining the star-studded cast.

The teaser offers only a glimpse, but its intensity leaves a strong impression immediately.

Saba is heard saying: “Women lose these cases not because of lack of evidence, but lack of courage.”

Her words play over haunting images of her character lying helplessly on the ground, setting the tone for the drama.

The clip highlights lines familiar to many, such as “What will people say?”

Another striking moment shows Quraishi’s character claiming: “Accuse a rich man of rape, and it’s an easy shortcut.”

She challenges the smug defence counsel, questioning: “Do you not have a mother or sister at home?”

He replies: “Of course I do, but they’re not like you.”

The scene echoes real-life victim-blaming attitudes often witnessed publicly.

One line particularly resonates: “Once words leave your tongue, they’re like arrows released from a bow.”

The dialogue connects closely with recent online conversations, where celebrities condemned insensitive comments about Samiya Hijab’s alleged kidnapping attempt.

Produced by Abdullah Kadwani and Asad Qureshi under 7th Sky Entertainment, the project is directed by Syed Wajahat Hussain.

Geo Entertainment will broadcast the show, though an official release date has yet to be confirmed by the network.

The teaser’s caption describes it as a story untold before, representing crimes that tragically occur daily within many communities:

“She fought for justice, unaware that her true battle was with the system itself.”

Saba Qamar’s career has consistently included fearless choices, from Baaghi to Cheekh, both tackling social injustices and women’s struggles.

Her involvement ensures that Case No. 9 is likely to attract both mainstream audiences and critical debate upon release.

With powerful writing, striking visuals, and a cast of seasoned actors, the drama promises an impactful narrative on sensitive realities.

While a date remains unannounced, one thing seems clear: Case No. 9 has already begun raising necessary conversations nationwide.
