Series two will welcome an exciting mix of people and personalities.

Romesh Ranganathan and Amol Rajan are among the high-profile names joining the next series of Celebrity Traitors, as the BBC confirms a new 21-strong cast heading to the Scottish Highlands.

The reality competition, hosted by Claudia Winkleman, will once again see celebrities heading to the infamous castle to play the ultimate game of deception and betrayal in the hope of winning a cash prize of up to £100,000 for a charity of their choice.

Contestants must identify the Traitors secretly working within the group while trying to avoid being “murdered” overnight.

Series two will welcome an exciting mix of people and personalities.

Ranging from BAFTA and BRIT award winners, through to social media stars plus some of the UK’s most cherished actors, comedians, presenters and beyond.

As celebrities will question who they can trust, who deserves to be banished and who is secretly plotting murder under the cover of darkness?

The upcoming series will see Romesh Ranganathan joining a comedy-heavy line-up.

In addition to stand-up comedy, Romesh is known for hosting the likes of A League of Their Own and The Weakest Link.

He will be joined by his Rob & Romesh Vs co-star Rob Beckett, along with Joanne McNally, Joe Lycett and James Acaster.

Broadcaster Amol Rajan will also be playing the ultimate game of deception.

Confirming his participation in Celebrity Traitors, Amol took to Instagram and wrote:

“Faithfully yours.”

The University Challenge host recently announced he would be leaving BBC Radio 4’s Today programme to launch his own company.

Announcing his departure in January 2026, he said:

“The pips have sounded, and it’s time to get my coat.”

He described the Today team as “the best of the best” and “consistently world class”.

They will be competing alongside a broad celebrity cast that includes Michael Sheen, known for his acclaimed screen and stage work, Ross Kemp, best known for EastEnders, and Bella Ramsey, star of The Last of Us.

The line-up also features Industry actress Myha’la, model Jerry Hall, Saltburn actor Richard E Grant, singer James Blunt, ex-Little Mix star Leigh-Anne Pinnock, actress Miranda Hart and Love Island presenter Maya Jama.

Additional contestants include Coronation Street star Julie Hesmondhalgh, Scottish actress Sharon Rooney, broadcaster and mathematician Hannah Fry, content creator King Kenny and actor Sebastian Croft.

The first series of Celebrity Traitors proved a major ratings success for the BBC.

Its finale peaked at 15.4 million viewers, while the series averaged 14.9 million, making it the most-watched UK television programme of 2025.

The debut run featured a star-studded cast including actors Celia Imrie and Nick Mohammed, singer Paloma Faith, broadcaster Jonathan Ross and Sir Stephen Fry.

Comedian Alan Carr ultimately won the series as a Traitor, as the show became one of the BBC’s biggest entertainment hits of the year.

Series two will arrive on BBC One and iPlayer later in 2026.
