A viral video showing rats crawling through a popular Pakistani restaurant’s outdoor dining area has left social media users stunned.

The restaurant is known for its traditional Desi cuisine and boasts branches across various cities in Pakistan.

Its popularity has made the clip even more alarming.

The footage, reportedly filmed at the Saddar branch of the renowned food chain, has sparked outrage across platforms.

It reveals rodents moving freely across tables, plates, and even inside a tissue box placed on a customer table.

One disturbing moment shows a rat climbing into the box, staying momentarily, then slipping out and stepping onto clean crockery set out for diners.

Diners’ voices can be heard in the background, reacting with disbelief as they witness the unhygienic scene unfold.

The video quickly drew reactions from concerned netizens, some of whom called it unacceptable negligence.

A user questioned: “This is what people are supposed to wipe their mouths with? There was a rat inside that tissue box!”

Another added: “If rats are this comfortable in the open, imagine the state of the kitchen.”

The video’s rapid circulation has triggered calls for accountability.

Many demanded that local food safety authorities inspect the restaurant immediately and ensure compliance with hygiene regulations.

Some users pointed out that this incident reflects a larger issue of poor sanitation standards in even the most frequented eateries.

A few noted that this was not an isolated case, but part of a worrying trend.

Previously, another video went viral showing a rat eating from a food stall outside a restaurant in Murree.

That clip, too, raised alarms about food safety and preparation standards at eateries in tourist-heavy areas.

In addition, the Punjab Food Authority has reportedly taken action against several eateries in Lahore for serious health violations.

The inspections uncovered cockroaches, rats, flies, and unsanitary kitchen conditions.

Officials noted poor waste disposal and inadequate cleaning practices as recurring problems.

The Rawalpindi case now adds to the growing number of reported hygiene lapses across major food outlets in the country.

Online forums quickly filled with debate, with patrons voicing whether they would ever return to the chain if strict measures were taken.

Others tagged food inspection departments in their posts, demanding that action be taken to protect the health of unsuspecting diners.

Despite the backlash, there has been no official response from the restaurant as of yet.

Customers now wait for a formal explanation and visible steps toward sanitisation. Many said their trust in the chain has been damaged.

With the video still making rounds online, the Pakistani restaurant’s reputation remains under threat.
